Honey, Happy 21st Birthday


I have to squeeze time to say something today. Today is tian's 21st birthday. After we have attended so many birthday parties of his friends, finally it was his turn yesterday, and I have to say things turned out really well and if not for all the friends who came, yesterday night would not have been possible. Good food played a tiny little part making everyone happy. I felt that the company was good and though it was mainly the class group and the squashers group, it was evident that PS easily brought everyone together and haha I was pleasantly surprised to see how guys can be so 'brotherly', shouting and cheering so loudly together when they play winning eleven. haha it's scary to think that michelleA can be one of them, since she plays PS too. A pity roy, michelleL and Yanli had to leave earlier than usual because MichL and Roy came from a busy day at Sentosa, mainly the Arts camp and the Science Ocamp i think. MichL looked so shagged when she first came though her outfit and red earrings were damn pretty. It's been a while (ok..a whole week) since I met Roy and her..we were busy with one another's NUS welcome teas and talks and matriculation that we couldn't meet. Anyway I was thinking, we are all in the same campus so it's quite ridiculous that we can't meet because it should be easier. But I guess MichL would be with her funky arts friends and I would be stuck at the engin Oweek with my OG..in the end it'll be hard to meet too. Nvm we'll see how things go..it's good enough that everyone's in the same campus. So there was mahjong, PS, makan, fantastic cake from awfully chocolate and delicious almond dessert made by me!! haha my mum taught me and alamak it's damn easy to make..made the jelly just the night before the party at 1am. It was definitely a good inclusion to the food. Best part of the party for me is the random talking with the squashers and tian's friends. Pity I didn't talk to the squash guys much, tian and I are supposed to play host and like drift from one group to another but haha hey it takes skill to leave a group without them knowing. heh nevermind practise makes perfect. Next practise shall be at my 21st. hahahahaha ok As I was saying, it was great to see Chong Wai, Lucas, Derek and Jon again..seeing the guys together really reminded me of my sec 2, 3, days..somehow the guys still retain part of their looks then but of course all of them have matured and grown more charming haha. These guys have been friends for like 6-8 years? It's just so touching and comforting to have great friends like that and when I read the card they wrote to tian, haha there's the muzzy feeling in my heart and wow..friendship is great. Oh ya..and no thanks to Chong Wai who told me that Bioengineering is going to be tough, the physics and Maths is crazy..yeap. I can't wait to get through the 4 years. Yet another challenge in my life, what's new. Main group of people were tian's classmates whom I am rather well acquainted with by now, having met them and spoke to them so many times. There was more talking as usual, some ramblings by excited year ones about the medical books to get and med life..more random ramblings about CCAs to participate in NUS and we started cold jokes aka leng xiao hua (something baorong is very good at but due to the minimal but healthy exposure to her cold jokes, I couldn't recollect any to tickle the crowd..hahaha). Basically talking about anything under the sun. Tian has friendly and funny classmates and school friends who made me very comfortable though I'm not from the class or batch. The party (which was more like a gathering) ended at about 2.45am. Good thing that most people drive. I want a car too!!! arghhh there was one day I told me mum that the BMW 3 Series is damn chio. She told me not to think so much in a damn sacarstic way. Yeap, I wonder when I can start working to earn such money to get myself a car. I have yet to get my laptop and phone!! damn sad. I side-tracked. I was supposed to go home after the party because I have tuition tml morning at 10am but heck, decided that tian and I can sleep more if I just stayed over. Helped to clean up the house while tian opened his presents one by one. Once again, thank you so much to all his friends for the wonderful presents..Tian absolutely love all of them, from the bikerish adidas jacket which he is going to wear to lectures to the very comfortable birks which again, he'll wear them to school. And there's the very retro and stylish long sleeved stripped shirt from Zara (thanks to the squashers)..it fitted perfectly and yeap Tian has always looked great in stripped long sleeves..damn sexy. Last but not least, a flowery shirt from Lucas which Tian thinks is best for the beach and the itrip which Matthew secretly and cleverly got for Tian. Now he has all the accessories he needs for his new ipod. heh He has a fantastic time yesterday and I am so happy for him =)


I have to leave home soon for his birthday dinner, followed by night movie with Yanli and Roy gang. Tian had to wake up so early this morning to send me home and for tuition (first time!! a luxury man) so thank you so so very much. On this special day of his, I wanna tell him that it's not just another year which past, I think it's a very eventful year during which he had fully enjoyed slacking life after army and it is also a year which both of us have gone through difficulties together and emerged stronger and more sensitive to each other's needs and feelings. Well, he's 21 now and it's time to prepare for adulthood. He definitely has to make more important decisions for himself now and cannot afford to not know what's going on. No more copying of notes..he definitely has to mug harder than he has ever mugged before and depend on himself to study the basics well and survive in hospitals in the future with fluent chinese and knowledge of dialects. Also, as a soon-to-be doctor, he has got to speak up and take initiative to approach people now..or else the patients will not find it comfortable to speak to the doctor who is cold. I think tian needs to want to be involved in other people's matters which may or may not concern him. Sort of being kpo, like me hahaha. I find that this is how you get to know others more and hey, it never hurts to have more acquaintances. I shall stop..these are my wishes for him on his 21st birthday.


I thought I would have more time to blog after today but because I was forced to sign up for Engin Orientation week (they seriously lack girls so girls are hot items in Engin), I would be very occupied next week and yeap..no blogging. Staying over in school on Monday and Friday night too. Nowadays I'm so happy to meet ex-rj people because Engin fac has a serious lack of RJ people..and I don't feel at home. Haiz shall talk about Engin some other time..
