All wrapped up

Today's my last day at Grand Hirafu..leaving for Toya tomorrow morning where we'll go sight-seeing and have plenty of awkward hot spring baths haha. Yeap today's my last day of skiing too. I only had two days of skiing but I'm totally in love with this sport or activity though I still have much difficulty stopping on slopes where the snow is not fluffy but more like ice and it's slippery. It`s damn scary when Tian and I explore new and more challenging skiing grounds and at some slopes I really cannot stop and it looked like a snow cliff in front of me so I'd quickly make myself fall to the side and worst part is I don't stop immediately after falling..I continued sliding down or tumble over haha. But seriously skiing is damn fun la..if I can afford it I`d go to Japan on a yearly basis to ski!!! And in the future, I'd bring my kids to Japan to learn skiing and snow-boarding!! Just like the many little kids here staying in my hotel..they come from other parts of Japan and their parents send them here on a ski camp or sth..like our OBS but way cooler haha. Oh this evening, snow fell in tiny balls..like a mini styrofoam beads..not the usual little fluffy flake-like snow. Damn cool..and there was the pitter-pattering sound..like it's raining snow. Heh. Today it snowed the whole day..and in the early morning and afternoon, the wind was so much stronger than the first day..it was just snowing like crazy.

(That's me all covered up to protect myself from the cold and wind. I was trying to put on my gloves before setting off. That's my hotel right beside the ski slope! Very convenient..but this is the family slope..one of the shortest and easiest slopes for beginners like me haha! This place is just HUGEEE. You should see the map.)

I don't want to leave this place!! God knows when I'll ever get to ski again. I should learn snow-boarding soon because Tian can do it well..and for snow-boarding I want learn properly from the school instructor. Then I can hold hands and snow-board with Tian haha!! He tried to hold my hand today as I skied down a slope and he was snow-boarding but haha our hands only managed to touch because I was holding the poles on my hands..how to hold his hand haha.

Tomorrow morning I have to come online again to bid for my module..hope bidding goes fine..good thing I only have to bid for one module. Bed time!! Japan turns dark so early it's so weird..the night is so short I feel like we're wasting away precious hours at night. It turns dark at 5 plus? Yea..and I go to bed at 10pm..which is about now..and it's 9pm Singapore time. I love Japan!! If only I understand what everyone around me is saying..

Merry Christmas!!!

At the airport right now..Terminal One..boarding Japan Airlines flight no. 722. Leaving for the gates in 10 minutes time. I just bought a olive eyeshadow from MAC..my first green one, courtesy of Tian. I'm glad I'm feeling a little happier now and I guess I'd be more excited when I reach the plane. Well I had to accept some harsh news before I left for the airport and I didn't take it very well. Thanks for talking to me Mich..and luckily I have Tian beside me who is forever thinking that I'm going to be fine at the end of the day. Truth is..nobody knows other than the Almighty up there right..oh well. I just need to be happier now and when I get back, I'm going to start living my new life.

I'll miss you girls..Jamie, Mich, Baorong and many more..you guys know who you are. And to Betty..I'll only be back on 31st Dec 1 am!! Belated birthday celebration for you?? And a super early Happy Birthday to you lovely darling!!
Leaving home..

My parents had day-offs today because my mum's company is having a christmas party. They left for my mum's company an hour ago with Jonathan, Jovina and cousin Baoling. Haiz..no one will be kissing me goodbye to me when Tian comes to pick me up in a few minutes' time. But ok la..I kept saying bye to Jon before they left and he gave me a kiss already. But don't think he understands that his sister would not be home for 6 days. Argh I'm going to miss him the most..
I love my friends

Got a haircut at Klear Cut by Sandee who's recommended by Jamie, Klear Cut's loyal customer heh. It was a really quick haircut and she didn't put any styling gel when the haircut is done (my old hairdresser would style my hair a little after cutting my hair and blow drying..). Oh but the hair washing process was rather long I thought but comfortable and I love having my hair washed. I could fall asleep right there with her massaging my head. Anyway the verdict is not out yet. Simply because my hair is blown straight dry so I can't tell how my hair would look like after I wash it at home. But it looks good to me now..though I couldn't get used to the side parting initially..and oh I changed my parting too!! Think the other side is starting to bald so I took this chance to change my parting.

Met up with Celene after my haircut! My first time going out with Celene..heh after knowing her for 2 years from JC. She looked so pretty and I caught a lot of guys checking her out today as we strutted around Orchard from Paragon to Taka and Wisma and Tangs and back to Paragon. haha how we walked in circles. By the way Cel's top cost almost 3 times more than mine I realised..I just found out clothes from Warehouse can be so expensive. And Ralph Lauren belts, both brown and black ones, are very nice and sleek and I'm so tempted to get one for Tian but they're so expensive. And some don't even have a Polo Ralph Lauren tag or logo on it..whatever that is called. haha. Anyway I enjoyed talking to Celene and just listening about her life, friends and family. I'm just happy I got to know her a little more today. Our lives are really so different..especially our family background, and the things we do outside school and home. And I know there's still so much more that I have yet to learn and discover about her. Haha I stepped into Gucci Paragon for the first time today. And I think I'll get my first Gucci handbag when I get my third actual paycheck. Hmm..or maybe not. Don't know if I'd be willing to splurge on such luxuries when I'm older.

We visited Jamie at Taka too. Actually I make it a point to visit her whenever I'm in town since I'd usually be around Wisma and Taka. So nice right Jamie? Add some surprises to your work haha. Usually I'd quietly stand one side and wait for her to be free and notice me. If she's really busy that day, I'll just go up to say hi and then leave. I think I can't visit her so often anymore..her superior Jasmine seemed to recognise me..and don't know if she likes Jamie chatting with me for a while during working hours. Opps.

Parted with Celene at 7pm to meet my ever dearest thrgee people for dinner!! We had fish at that Manhatten's fish market restaurant (not sure of the name) at Plaza Singapura..my first time dining there. Erm..verdict is.. let's just stick to fish & co..but the irritating thing is that fish n co. does not accept reservations during this xmas period..and it's packed today. Oh well..Orchard is too small for us now..we shall venture to Marina Square for the next gathering.

There's Mogilan, Dedrick the organiser who did a great job (thanks again!), Christine, me, Daniel, Bernard (who's leaving for Melbourne this coming February with Pam to pursue Medicine), Andrew, Chin Siang, YJ, Sarah (who just came back from Scotland), Hauwan (who's the only other engineer in my class), Clarabelle, Jin Yi and Brenda.

Me, Belle and Brenda. After spending quite a long time eating at the Manhatten fish place and making this very cute and nice waitress take pictures for us using more than 5 cameras, we were too embarrassed to stay there longer hence we changed a venue for dessert. Swensens!! haha. And I had a frosted chocolate malt which completed my dinner course for the night. I was eating so happily haha! See ah..Monday night I had a gathering with my favourite girls and ate a lot of brownies and chicken and chips. We were so damn full that night. Tuesday night I met up with my Engineering OG and had a super huge Japanese meal at Marina Square. Today I ate so much again. And I wonder why people are telling me that I need to eat more. Felt like shit about not being able to go for training tomorrow because I have not finished packing. Training would have allowed me to leave for Japan in peace, knowing that I can afford to eat even more there. Arghhh and I thought I can meet Michelle and Baorong once more before I'll be gone for 6 days.

Me, Sarah, and Pam.

7 gorgeous girls from 3G!! My class guys are so lucky to have us haha! *ok joking*

My class rocks big time!! RJC 1/2S03G 2003/4 is DE class of the year!!! I want my JC class back..I want all of them to be in my class again..Sigh. I was chatting with Pam, YJ and Dedrick after everyone left and Pam hit on the perfect word to describe University life..transient. Think about it.

In Anticipation

Just did my first round of packing for Japan tonight. Tian's suitcase is only half full and I'm bringing my usual small luggage. This is the first trip I'm bringing so little tops (like 3 long sleeved tops in all only..so pathetic) because firstly I don't have many long sleeved tops to rotate around and secondly, I figured there's no point bringing nice long-sleeved tops to Japan because they would be under my jackets most of the time and won't be seen in photographs haha. Packing is such a chore..I had to decide between 5 different types of jackets to bring to Japan, and I can't decide simply because I have no idea what to expect there!! Don't know whether to play safe and bring 2 jackets but Tian thought one is really enough. Luckily I have him around to help me decide what jackets to bring..and it was freaking hot in my room parading around in my thermal layer, top and jackets..just figuring out how I'm going to layer the clothes. I'm leaving on Friday night, cab for the airport would be arriving at Tian's place at 9pm. Time flies..and when I get back from Japan, that would be the end of my first University holidays..painful.

I had a fantastic Tuesday with Tian. I love holidays so so much because we had been spending almost everyday together from morning till night. Anyway we had trainings on Tuesday morning with Baorong and Michelle again and the rest of the team. I'm enjoying trainings without a coach but with a rather motherly Kar Yan guiding us. Very minimal stress and it's not as tiring as Gopal's trainings. Love squashing and burning fats with the girls while we sometimes whine and slack off for water break at the Linger Cafe by the pool and Kar Yan will then find us and drag us back to courts haha. Oh Jonathan came down for training that day. He's one of the star players under Maoyuan's name list and these star players would make guest appearance once in a while haha. Like Darius Kwa and Joel Ong one day haha. Anyway Jon Teh has become bigger than Jon Chan now haha. They sort of exchanged body size I realised..though Jon Chan was not as big as the Jon Teh now heh. Don't know what Jon Teh did to put on so much weight. After training ended at 2pm, Michelle, Baorong and I bought food from Ghim Mo and had a nice lunch at Tian's place before we took a quick bath and headed for town. Tian and these two girlfriends of mine were forming bonds as they played isketch together haha. Went to town to helped Michelle and Baorong find christmas presents for their families and then Tian and I left at 7 to meet my Engineering OG mates for dinner. Baorong is definitely not a shopping girl heh..like Hazel and Yvoone..wonder if guys would prefer girls like them to shopaholic girls who can walk up and town Orchard Road the whole afternoon looking for clothes, bags and shoes. I know Tian would haha..but too bad I have more stamina and patience for shopping than Baorong..so he has to put up with me..and I'm still training him up =p. OG dinner was at this nice Jap restaurant at Marina Square. I think I should head to Marina Square and Suntec more because they have a good variety of restaurants there for dinner!! And I still have not tried Carl's Jr but I saw the gigantic size of the burger and it made me laugh haha. Anyway this was the first OG outing dinner when we brought our partners along so we were not our loud and rowdy selves that night. We had a very decent and fine Japanese dinner, though restricted and quieter than usual, I was glad I got to meet everyone again. Oh and I was very happy that Tian got to meet some of the closest people to me in Engineering and he wasn't bored but had a good time listening to my Engin friends joke in Chinese haha. Ya a lot of guys in Engin speak Chinese among themselves but they'd speak English to me because they know I'm more comfortable with English haha. Oh..quite a few Hwa Chong guys so that explains the Chinese part. Actually my OG isn't very close as school started and time went by because we're all seperated into different lecture groups and Engineering is so big that we hardly get to see one another. But we'll never forget those happy days that we shared during orientation..

By the way, I finally bought a new pair of sports shoes to replace my old Nike one with a sole which became detached from the shoe in the middle of dance camp. Yea for the final mini dance competition on the last day I had to dance bare-footed because I cannot move properly with that sole falling out. What a great excuse to get a new pair of sports shoes heh. Tian had to run around with me from Queensway to Orchard and back to Queensway over 3 days to shop for a pair of running shoes..I took a long time deciding on which model to get and also we were comparing prices between the shops haha. Because I could not find a near-perfect pair of Nike running shoes, I settled for my first Asics, the GT 2100. Sheesh I realised this design is an old one..I should have surfed the internet first to see which model is the latest. I chose it by the looks and weight only haha.. because I thought all Asics shoes should be good enough for running and I'm not a pro runner anyway. And since Asics shoes are not very pretty to begin with, I settled for the girlish looking one..purple!! haha my first purple sports shoe too. Was deciding between this shoe and a pink and silver Nike one but the Nike one really provides little support for the front part of the foot, I don't feel comfortable walking or even running in it. It looked better of course, with that pretty pink Nike tick at the side haha. Nvm my new Asics shoe is really comfortable and I had a great time dancing in it today.

After surfing the net, I found other pretty and newer Asics shoes which I don't think I saw them at Queensway today. I love colours haha..and I don't mind any colour on my shoes really..like orange..it's a pretty and bright colour =)

It's 2 am already. Perhaps 6 more hours before I need to wake up for training in school. But I just wanna say a huge Thank you and I Love You to my favourite girls who have been with me almost throughout my whole life..Vanessa, Baorong, Baoxin, Michelle, Jamie and Huiping (Betty had to miss this gathering because she's coming back to Spore again in Jan)..ranked in order of oldest to newest haha. Ever since we left secondary school, so many things have changed and some of us have gone far far away to study while the rest of us headed for different schools to pursue our interests. That's why I find gatherings like today's and the previous gatherings in Orchard and tt short afternoon with Betty so precious. In the end the food was good enough to satisfy our tummies and Ricky's place was nicely air conditioned and confortable for the guys to engage in PS while we just hang around and talk. No need to plan games or whatever programmes..I thought tonight was just nice. I hope you guys felt the same way too. Having Tian, Ricky and Janen did brought some laughter to the house today, though most of the time they were minding their own business in front of the TV with the controllers in their hands and occasionally cheering or booing out loud, creating background music for us girls. Hope they had a good time guy-bonding. It's nice when our guys become friends heh it facilitates things a little when we get married one by one in the future too. Haha..I think too far again! But it's true that to get to the girl, you have to also get into her girlfriends' good books. Anyway let's see..we had bee hoon prepared by my maid, mashed potato well seasoned with pepper prepared by Huiping (which Tian effortlessly cleaned it up), fruits and veggie salad by Michelle (this dish has a history..in secondary school days, we used to have many BBQ gatherings at Mich's place and her maid always prepare this salad. After all the meat, it always nice to have some refreshing veggie and fruits and kidney beans to munch on.). We also bought honey glazed chicken, chips, grapes and ice cream from Cold Storage Jelita. Oh Mich made brownies too which I think I ate too much of it. We had a picnic by the television in Ricky's living room. And after dinner we had drinks, Absolute Vodka (peach flavoured) with coke lime and green tea. Haha..it was just a mess..Vodka peach is supposed to go with fruit punch..we did not have thousand island..but who cares hah.

All in all, we talked and laughed and gossiped like we always do when we meet up. Sometimes we talk as if we're still little secondary school girls. I want to let the girls know how much I treasure each and every one of them and that I'm thankful for a wonderful night like this with them. We might not be doing anything exciting or cool or super fun but I feel that such nights remind us of how far we have come and that this friendship that we share is different from any other. Do you feel the same way as I do? I don't know how to describe my feelings with words, just like when asked why I'm so in love with Tian, I cannot pinpoint exactly to what or why, but we share this special feeling for each other..a connection..and we know we need each other in our lives. Ok I'm really bad at this..what I mean is that I feel the same for you girls too..a strong sisterhood.

It was great to finally see Janen today after not seeing him for a year or 2? Can't remember..lost count already.Anyway time flies so quickly now it was almost like yesterday when I last saw him. I think we all still look the same haha. Ness and him are still so lovey dovey like they're ready to make out anytime soon (haha!) and Janen is forever pampering Ness (today with Gucci) and he's still makes people laugh. To Jamie, I know you love it. I hope we got you useful and a little memorable or meaningful 21st birthday gift finally. Sorry it didn't come earlier but I hope this last addition to the present is a good one. Got the Magenta one actually because I have no clue as to which one you like but got it changed to the olive one this afternoon. Go plant as many kisses as you can on Michelle to thank her heh..we love you too.

And I'm loving every single day of my life with you..

I'm finally off to sleep..and I have yet to start packing..

Timetable for next semester is out

I'm thrown back to reality again when my ever-so-kind OG mate Raymond msn me on this beautiful saturday night to remind me of Uni. Haha I need Raymond around to discipline myself. So I checked the website and saw my horrible timetable. 2 8am mornings. Let's see..last semester my earliest lessons/lectures started at 10am. Earliest. How the hell am I supposed to wake up at 8 am oh my gosh. I was still so excited to see what I'll be learning next sem but now..I'm dreading everything. Physics 2, Maths 2 (Physics 1 and Maths 1 I took last sem were not too good..I think I know what to expect for Maths 2)..and then Electrical Engineering 2 (again?~!!), Statics and Mechanics of Materials (What the hell! Why must I take this module!! Chemical Engineering students don't have to do this module..so why must Bioengin students to it!! and I have no idea what it is about..it sounds real boring to me. Period) and last but not least, Critical thinking and writing (think GP..which I got a terrible B3 for it..and now I have to face it again..it's so unfair..why must engineers learn to think and write but scientists and doctors don't..). Look at my modules for next semester. So interesting huh. And I have not started reading my Physics text yet. How am I supposed to finish reading Quantum Physics in this holiday. But I guess realising the need to start reading now is not too late either..should thank Raymond for reminding me about school once again. He's my mugger idol by the way.

Now that I'm dreading next sem, holidays seem so much shorter and precious as the days go past. Like hi..it's almost the end of a one-month holiday!! One month is a long time!! But never long enough for us..soon the final exams will be here again and soon I'll be heading for Europe hopefully!! I just wish for an even happier and successful new year for both Tian and I and for all my friends. I really hope the new year would be a good year. I'll pray hard for more good things to happen to me..

Sigh.

Recap on dance camp. It was 3 days and 2 nights of endless but really tiring fun. Before dance camp I was quite a lost sheep in Blast. Other than being acquainted with the medicine girls and a few girls who always dance in the same area where I usually stand in studio, it was usually only hi and bye when we meet every Wednesday for dance. Dance camp was the perfect solution to that and as the seniors had promised, it succeeded in bonding the old and new people in Blast. I got to know so many other juniors like me as we go through the killer technique training together and when we do salsa and lindy hop together. And I finally got acquainted with the seniors, who attend a different dance class from the juniors hence it was difficult to get to know them. Before dance camp, they were intimidating to me and I can only look and admire from afar when they dance, especially during performances. Patrick always tells us that the seniors are our role models and we are supposed to become like them after 1 year of training. Right from the start I've spotted my male and female idols in Blast haha. And my guy idol in Blast is really cute by the way =p.

We had technique classes with Peter who made us do killer streching in all painful positions. Just imagine perspiring profusely just from stretching. We were made to stay in many positions for a long time till our hands or legs start trembling really badly. I can never describe to you how bad this technique session was. All of us were so traumatised and tired after that session. My legs were so numb and weak I can barely feel my steps when I walk. Other than technique classes, we had salsa and lindy hop class and also a jazz class. I totally enjoyed myself. Wanted to learn salsa for so so long. We had two really cool dance instructors from Jitterbugs to teach us salsa and lindy hop. The lady instructor, called Fen or something like that, is so damn cool I tell you. She looked cheena at first but she speaks proper English and even had a nice accent. Heard she's married to a English man. You just wanna be like her when you see her dance ok. But all the guys can't take their eyes off her though she's not young and married. haha. Oh anyway partner dance wasn't as embarrassing as I thought it would be. The guys were rotated between all the girls and it was quite funny how we get to experience dancing with guys of different heights and builds. Imagine guys shorter than me, such that I appear bigger than them..and guys super tall I literally had to tilt my head to look at his face. And imagine guys with bulging muscles who easily throw me around when we do turns and guys who are the same size as I am and at times I feel as if I'm leading instead of him. Haha this was all fun. Lindy Hop was difficult ok!! Totally different style from Salsa..we're supposed to be bouncing the whole time we're dancing and this dance, unlike Salsa, is very freestyle and the footwork is not definite which makes it hard. Argh I thought we all looked weird doing it haha.

There were also games, brainstorming sessions for Hip Hop Nite 06 and a mini dance competition at the end of the camp. My most memorable game has to be the watermelon eating competition on the 2nd night during our BBQ dinner. Each group was given half a watermelon to finish clean (no red flesh left) and last group to finish of course will be in for some forfeit. My group, with Lijia, Youming, Grace and XiaoPing got so high tearing the watermelon up and scraping the red flesh off the skin. Haha real barbarians I tell you. Our faces were full of watermelon juice. The only guy in my group did a good job spliting the huge half watermelon up into many parts so that each of us can work on a piece. We played the game on the FLOOR and you know when you split a huge watermelon, it is not easy and there will be random pieces which fly off to somewhere. Haha we actually picked them up from the floor and stuffed the watermelon pieces into our mouths!! How dirty and gross is that haha!! They girls were like eeeeeeewwwwwwww but didn't stop eating of course. hahahah and to begin with, our hands are not exactly clean and the guy had to dig his hands into the watermelon to split it up before the girls eat the watermelon with dirt from the floor and hands and oil from our faces. Haha it was damn fun though, we girls could not stop laughing while eating the watermelon. The night of BBQ dinner was memorable. I got to know more people from the other groups and also more seniors from the comm when we set up the fire for BBQ and cook (and burn) food together.

Fast forward to the dance competition which the groups were given different music to dance to. I thought it was really hard to choreograph dance steps, or maybe because I don't have enough dance experience and don't watch MTV much. haha. During the camp, we stayed up till 2-3 am on both nights to prepare and practise for the competition. That's why I was totally shagged on the third morning because of severe lack of sleep. Anyway I got to work with a group of very nice people, Matthew, Korin, XiaoPing, Harold, Weijie, and seniors Jenny,Idil and Fen! This is the group of people whom I'm with throughout the whole camp. And guess what? My group actually won Best Dance during the competition!!! Haha that was the coolest thing ever. My very first dance competition (though a mini one) and my group won!! I don't know about my group mates, but thought of winning never crossed my mind because I thought our steps were simple and I know of this other group who choreographed cool steps and during their rehearsals they really danced with so much energy they looked so good. But in the end we were the ones who made the audience laugh with our story line invented to suit the song and to accomodate our injured senior, Jenny, who has a fractured arm.

This is one camp which I don't have to get dirty in the jungle or sleep in tents with the insects. I got to see how Temasek Hall looks like (with clean toilets which really impressed me) and ate good catered food for most meals from Fong Seng (it's not that bad..don't know why some people are complaining that they're sick of food from Fong Seng haha). Dance camp was so much fun and I'm looking forward to my next 3 and a half years in Blast! Blastards totally rocks. heh

Blast!

I'm back from dance camp!! Yeap it was one hell of a dance camp. Right now I desperately need to get some sleep because I have been sleeping for only 5 hours or so for the past 2 nights. I'm falling sick. Mango sale with Michelle at 7 am in the morning..can't believe I'm actually going for it. Don't mind going in the afternoon really. We're squeezing the sale before training in school at 10am. Oh gosh seriously I think we're crazy. I need to sleep. And I love Blast!

Ristorante OSO

Posted by Picasa

My few attempts using Picasa but I seriously suck at it. I don't know how people like Jamie and Rachel and Boon can display their pictures so nicely. Argh forget it I condemn Picasa. Hope iPhoto improves soon such that it can do everything and more things than Picasa. Jamie my coach gave me a 5 minutes crash course on Picasa but the moral of the story is trial and error. The pictures are supposed to be in the middle instead of to the left. I thought I clicked center!! And sorry the picture is so huge..I'm too lazy to change it to medium size. The option doesn't appear anymore when I blog it.Haiya I'm so hopeless haha. And it's just Picasa.

I had a very good Sunday with Tian. Morning was of course a real struggle to get out of bed for tuition. After tuition, I headed to town to meet Tian who went all the way to Guess at Suntec and Raffles City just to see if they have the bag that I liked. Nope of course..it's officially gone in Singapore. Nevermind. It's just a bag. There'll be prettier ones to come. Thanks dear..once again. Thank you so so much for doing it for me. Anyway today is a rare Sunday that I'm in town because my Sundays are usually spent at home with my family. When I got off bus 502 at Lucky Plaza to walk to Paragon, I was so surprised to see Orchard Road literally covered with Fillippinos. I don't even hear English!! Didn't know Orchard is such a Fillipino heaven on Sundays. It was crowded as usual but I thought today was bright and cheerful..the pace in Orchard today is like a little slower today than yesterday..haha I don't think you'd understand but nvm. I made him continue to shop with me for 2 hours though he was shagged again. Visited Jamie at Bobbi Brown again hoping to get my brows done (Hope I take your mind off for a while from work during my visits to the counter haha!) but today's a busy and unlucky day for her so I gave it a miss. Was desperate for neat brows so that I'll look more decent during dance camp but haiz nevermind hope no one notices my overgrown brows. Arghh Jamie!! I really cannot take it anymore..I need to get them trimmed!! and they look bald la!! just like my hair. Only Tian thinks they're very nice (and Jamie would laugh haha). Anyway night time was Tian's 2nd brother's birthday dinner at Ristorante OSO along Tanjong Pagar. That place has damn a lot of fancy restaurants and expensive ktv and so so many bridal shops. Anyway it was a small, dim and romantic Italian restaurant which serves fantastic lamb rack, chicken liver, potato soup, mixed cold cut, pan-fried egg with truffle (though this appetiser doesn't look like it's worth 20 bucks) and so much more..oh..their chocolate cake kicks ass too. (Michelle has to try this haha..The chocolate lava cake at TCC blew her away that day..she will fall so deeply in love with this one heh). Tian's parents treat me to these fancy restaurants often and every restaurant just gets better and better. They always know where to find good food heh. Tian lets go back there again for Valentine's day maybe?!! This time we have to try their pasta..but hmm..we've almost tried all the appetisers.

(Tian's brother's Panna Cotta dessert which Tian's dad called tofu pieces. haha. It looks damn cute la but I didn't try it. My lamb rack which had Tian's brother said "damn good" for so so many times and the skin(or so I thought it was) was actually crispy. I don't know how to describe my wonderful experience with the lamb.Chocolate cake which oozes thick creamy chocolate from within..heavenly I tell you. Tiramisu which sadly failed to outshine the chocolate cake. Pontini's tiramisu is still better.)

I'll be away for the next 3 days in school for Blast! camp..hope it'll be a lot of dancing and fun..and I need to make more friends in dance. I guess I'm closest to the medicine group right now but Amanda, Lijia they all are so much closer cos they're all dancers and have common medicine stuff to talk about too so sometimes I feel quite left out or extra. Nvm dance camp will change things hopefully!!I don't know why they didn't ask us to pack our sleeping bags and I have no idea what the camp program is. Feel so lost and unsure. Don't know what type of clothes to pack also. Camps are fun but tiring. Oh I'll miss squash training on Tuesday. Damn.

Below are photos from Jacinta's and cousin Baoling's birthday celebration on 5 Dec 05. Practising my Picasa skill again but I hate the way Picasa cuts off the sides and the top. See my cute Pebbles Junk Food tee in baby blue?! That's my very first Junk food tee and so far, my favourite one. Totally love it.

Shopping sucks

What a lousy shopping day today. Made Tian walk up and down Orchard so many times and in the end..not a single purchase. To think that I even walked into Guess 3 times because Guess sale is on. Finally spotted a bag that I think is worth the money and it's pretty but no new piece. The one on display really looks quite used and I figured for 99 bucks I wanna get a brand new one. Saw a white pants too and they have all sizes except for 25. 26 used to be my size but my Guess jeans now became really loose overtime so I figured I should get a 25 so that the pants would last me longer. But don't have!!! it's 50 percent off ok. I would love a pair of white pants! I don't have a one!! Argh it's really fustrating when you really wanna buy something new because your clothes are running out and it is becoming impossible to find new things to wear in the wardrobe..but you leave town week after week empty-handed! And I desperately need a bag ever since forever but fate just doesn't allow me to get that bag!! My heart was crying when I let town today..Made my feet suffer in those heels for so many hours and left empty-handed is the worst thing ever ok. It's just like what Jamie said..queued for 20 minutes to get into the Gucci store so might as well get something from the sale. Hmm nevermind. Still doesn't justify her 300+ bag.

I think I'm a lousy shopper. Maybe I'm not even meant to shop the first place. I wanna give up shopping. It only toys with my feelings. See nice things and want them, but most of the time they are too expensive so cannot buy. Got sale and see affordable and nice things, but no stock. At the end of the day, shopping only means feast for the eyes and foot exercise.

Ok sorry this is quite a brainless post but I don't want to complain to my sister so I'm pouring my sorrows out here. Told Tian but he won't understand too. I just hate my wardrobe now that I don't even feel like going out because that means wearing a top again..and the more I wear it..the sooner it'll fall into the 'old' category and soon it won't be as appealing or pretty anymore. Aiyah I don't know how to say. Girls always want new clothes. For me, it's turning into a need.

Guess the best part of today is having Tian by my side while turning Guess upside down..though there were a little complaints by him because he was hungry and tired (which you are untitled to of course..i'm not complaining..it's my fault that you're tired so quickly)..oh also meeting Celene who looked very good..and Jamie..with her styled hair again and of course she always looks good la. Haiz I'm always the one looking the lousiest..no nice clothes..no makeup because I'm just too lazy. Oh I met Mich and Jega at Guess Paragon too! The whole world was in town today..super crowded I tell you. Ok I shall stop thinking about today and start worrying about getting up early for tuition tomorrow.

Aching away..

I'm shagged. The butt is aching..the upper limbs too..and the thighs. Feeling a bit at the calves too. I was walking funny on my way to Tian's place. And there's training tomorrow again..arghhh you medicine pple..I need one more day break to let the muscles heal!! Realised training on tues and fri is very good..2 days rest is good to allow the body to recover from the aches. Somemore I went for dance today because I didn't go on Monday and Tuesday. This morning I wasn't feeling so bad. Now wearing my pants is becoming a problem. Today's dance was intensive man. My first lesson from Ryan at Studio Wu..I've heard so much about him being a very good dance teacher but because of schedule clashes I haven't had the time to attend his dance lessons. Today finally. I totally love his warm-up session man. Carol whom I usually go to for Girls' Hip Hop usually does stretching and teaches us some cool hiphop moves which basically teach us to move in hiphop style. Wah Ryan's warm-up involves crunches and push-ups la. Push-ups wasn't that bad..think we did about 20 only and somehow doing push-ups to the beat of the music wasn't that hard..I think because I have to do it fast I don't bother to go as low as I can. But the crunches..wahh..can die loh. I'm so so super unfit I tell you. Dancers are such flexible and strong people..there was this girl whom I was looking at because she was so good..well she just kept going..I was wondering when the crunches were going to stop..Ryan just kept going!! Wah I never done so many crunches before la..and you have to do fast to keep up with the music..we easily did more than 100 crunches..non-stop you know!! Do 50 at a time with rest period in between is easy. But this is continuous shit I tell you..I really tried not to stop but still stopped for two counts before continuing. I think the main pain at the neck..because after a while..the abdomen becomes numb and I didn't feel much pain anymore. I had trouble lifting my head together with my upper body while doing the crunches..I'm quite sure the neck is not supposed to feel any strain. But perhaps after 100 crunches, the neck will feel something. I don't know man..I'm quite sure I was doing it the right way. Nevermind. I'm definitely going for more classes under Ryan because I love his style man..and soon I'll have abs!! Haha at the rate he make us do crunches..I hope my tummy will go away! Anyway Ryan is very friendly and he's so so funky!! I love the dance steps which he taught us..not too bor-ish (meaning not too guy style..) because everyone in his hiphop class are girls..except for one.

Anyway I'm quite happy with myself..tuesday had training..today had dance..tomorrow there's training again. I have been eating DARS dark chocolate the whole day haha! Don't bother to hold back man..I'm exercising now so I don't bother to control!!

Oh I caught SAW II with Tian yesterday. Some sick and painful shit I tell you. I wonder if the producer is sick. Mentally disturbed maybe..though he succeeded in creating a blockbuster, earn a lot of money and successfully grossed out people all over the world. Looking at the ending..haiz..there'll be SAW III i tell you..then..oh yes..there will be MORE blood. I guess the whole plot and twist to the story is good that's why Tian is such a big fan of SAW. Tian said the moral of the story is..LISTEN TO INSTRUCTIONS. haha. Hey the show might encourage a psychopath in some remote part of the world loh.

Girls' night out on Friday. Can't wait!!

525600 minutes...

I caught RENT today haha! I was very excited last night when I reached home after midnight and read in LIFE! that there would be a discount for last-minute-tickets for the last 4 shows of RENT! It's a tradition by the new RENT creator or director I forgot..to give people who cannot afford the usual-priced tickets an opportunity to watch the musical. Guess how much the tickets were...50 bucks!! haha for all catergories. Too bad I didn't read the papers in the morning before I left home. Quickly tried to purchase tickets online at midnight and managed to get Row S tickets..not too bad seats considering that Kallang Theatre is not too big. $148 bucks seats for $50!! I rang Tian up immediately and made him go for the musical with me though he might not be very interested in it because it's not as famous as Phantom or Saigon etc. I was thinking RENT is going to be like Fame The Musical..a smaller scale musical which will not fail to inspire and touch the audience's hearts. And yes it did despite the poor sound system. Well LIFE! did warn about the poor sound system of Kallang Theatre which eats up the performers' words but I was thinking that the review was for the opening show and since I'll be watching the last show, perhaps they would have improved things a little. But today was just as bad. Tian and I had a hard time figuring out what they were singing about..just like Jamie. It was quite bad..especially some of Karen Mok's songs and Roger's songs since he's usually angry and sings like a rocker. I was quite sad about not understanding what was going on fully. I never face this problem with all other musicals I've watched so far. Luckily I had a rough idea of what RENT is about before watching the musical so I wasn't too lost. Despite the poor sound system, the performers' 'showmanship' did not fail to impress and at the end of the day I had a very good time at the musical with Tian. Oh Maureen's microphone was faulty..not once but twice ok!! But she was very professional and managed to stick the mic into her top when she needed both hands to tango with Mark. Oh and I didn't know Karen Mok's english is so good and accented haha. I must be like her..well-versed in many languages and even dialect. Well I have to say that she's very suitable for her role and she sounded good singing English songs.

Tian and I managed to catch the cast of RENT and Karen Mok herself at the carpark behind Kallang Theatre where there was a coach for the westerners and a car for Karen Mok. tsk why so special haha. And Karen Mok took so long to come out la..Tian and I were contemplating to leave already but I figured no harm waiting..it's quite exciting anyway. Haha you know la..after watching a good musical you totally fall in love with the characters and when you get to see the characters up close it's quite exciting loh!! Haha I tell you Karen Mok is so so so so so skinny..skinnier than Jamie. Almost like Brenda but Karen Mok's taller. Wah when I took the photo with her, there was hardly anything to embrace or hold. I was thinking to myself if a guy happens to grab her arm with force, he would easily break her arm la. Damn damn skinny I tell you. And she wasn't very proud nor very friendly..I thought she was a little shy. There was a girl who bought her 2 pandan cakes from Bengawan Solo haha. She said she likes pandan cakes though they look weird with a hole in the middle - Urban.

She has so much more hair than me la.. I want more hair..and longer hair like hers haha. I still think girls look nicer with messy hair like Karen Mok's than super straight rebonded long hair. Haha I'm still quite happy about meeting Karen Mok though I don't listen to her songs haha! I met Amanda and guy at the musical today too..and also Daryl. Medicine pple. Finally I get to see Amanda's boyfriend Han Boon (should be the correct spelling). Pleasant surprise to meet her there! Girls in love are extra beautiful haha. Amanda is my idol ever since secondary school man haha. I don't think it's a secret anymore because I always tell Sarah and my RJ classmates how well she dances whenever she performs in RJ haha! I sound like a lesbian now. She's just too naturally good at dance. I was so excited to be accepted into Dance Blast with her and other RJ dancers like Lijia. Looking forward to learn from them and perhaps even perform with them!! Dance camp's coming up!

I had a wonderful day though it only started at 5.30pm. Haha had tuition in the morning and then went home to sleep because I was having a bad runny nose. Oh didn't know Sakae Sushi and Wheelock Place underwent some renovation. The interior design is quite nice now and they even have a few new dishes on the conveyor belt such as chicken wings, nuggets, a differently prepared unagi sushi and more. Haha Tian and I had about 13 plates in total. I don't know how Betty and Cheryl can consume 25 plates between them. It's insane la. I was so full after sharing 13 plates of sushi with Tian already haha..hmm..though I can have another plate of softshall crab. But it's red plate..too expensive. We were limiting ourselves to only one red plate and there were two people next to us who had 5 red plates! I'm damn jealous la haiz! Tian can afford to spend but he's just thrifty. blah. nvm it's a good virtue I shouldn't be complaining haha. Sorry I just can't stop mentioning how much I enjoyed today with him..it's really been a very happy day.

525,600 minutes, 525,600 moments so dear.
525,600 minutes - how do you measure, measure a year?

In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee.

In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife.
In 525,600 minutes - how do you measure a year in the life?

My favourite song now - Season of Love, Rent Soundtrack.

Ok I'm too tired to blog..just munched on some cookies. Tsk how did he know that I love Famous Amos cookies? ok not just Famous Amos..any cookie or cake or chocolate..I'll like it whether or not it is plain or with nuts or with alcohol..haha of course I have preferences but basically I have a sweet tooth. Ought to go to bed soon..Tian's off to play Dota with Roy and Yanli..all can't talk to me on MSN. Can't wait to meet up with them to chat over dinner or sth. Had a long day today which I shall perhaps blog about some other time..the headache is gone but I should just get some rest.

I miss Baorong. She had a ridiculous dream of me..windsurfing? hmm..that's way off..that girl is full of imagination haha I think she's just overworked man. And she gets to drive her parents' car around already?~!!!!! Aaahhhh Tiannn!!! I got my license in May but up till now I have not driven a car alone. Wah Baorong's parents really trust her 100% man. And she's one confident girl. Seriously I wouldn't dare to drive around a few weeks after obtaining my license loh!! Maybe it's Tian's fault for making me feel that even now, more than 5 months after getting my license, I am not capable of driving a car alone. I don't know..not even a short distance from his place to Sunset Way. Haha ok dear I'm not blaming you. It's your mum's car anyway..I have no permission to drive it around myself. And I know what I have done on the roads which is perhaps rather dangerous and comical but it's quite a harmless mistake la haha. And I did get honked at too I know. Nvm la there's no hurry anyway..I wouldn't get to drive a car alone until I'm in my late twenties or even thirties when I actually own a vehicle. Perhaps it's good that he's always beside me when I drive so that he can tell me where to go. Wah how does Baorong know which way to go when she started driving alone initially? Oh ya we're all familiar with the route to school. Haiz you guys with cars are lucky pigs ok..including Lee Tian Loon. haha. I'm out.

Junk Food!!

Ok I know this is absolutely slow but I got my first Junk Food today!! AaHhHh so damn excited to see a brown envelope on my table..the thing I've been waiting so long for!! Got this Pebbles Born to Rock Junk Food Tee from Ebay at the beginning of November and there has been some saga over the t-shirt between me and the seller and I paid an obscene amount of money for the shirt because I am so stupid and did not think of omitting the spaces in between the credit card numbers hence I thought Paypal did not recognise all my cards!! Seriously I can't imagine how stupid I am. And it just came to mind today and I finally added a debit card number to my Paypal account so that I can pay through Paypal in the future. All because if you generate a bank draft at the back you have to pay a whole 10 bucks more for a teeny weeny service by the bank. Hello!! 10 Bucks for generating a piece of paper for me!! And the process takes 10 minutes perhaps?!! Manpower is so expensive these days huh!! So ridiculous..anyway the whole drama is gone and the seller received my money though it took quite a while to reach her and similarly the tee took quite a while to reach me too but I got it!! It is so cutteee I tell you..and it's baby blue!! Though hard to match with blue jeans cos then I'll look so blue but still..baby blue is such a sweet colour! I'm totally in love with my first Junk Food and I'm so hooked onto Ebay! Just bought another Junk Food by the way haha..and successfully paid for it using Paypal. So convenient I love it! Now I'd just have to wait patiently for the top to reach Singapore. Shipping is so damn expensive though..7 USD..damn damn ex tsk tsk.

I'm just glad that I'm a pro at Ebay and Paypal now..ok not pro..but at least I know how to get a shirt from Ebay without hassle. Can't wait to get my hands on the MTV shirts..eyeing two of them now..one yellow one with a cute little cow and another is in pink with MTV in zebra stripes heh. Nearly won it once on Ebay but in the end the bid was too high for me and I did not want to pay that amount for a T shirt so I gave it up. Actually any amount which I pay for Junk Food tees from Ebay would be at least 10 bucks cheaper than buying it from Queen's Couture so I should not restraint myself too much but I try not to spend more than 30-35 bucks. Yea must have self control. I'm good at that haha.

Tian's exams ended today!! Don't know if it's a good thing or not actually. But nevermind. I realised it's quite nice shopping alone because I have stamina to go on and on without having to worry if I'm boring someone else but ya downside of it is that there's no one to give comments on the clothes that I'm interested in. So I need you dear. Sorry you have to shop with me k. But with you I hardly shop also..I bet you feel like you've shopped the whole day already when we only covered two shops right. haha nvm. At least you hardly complain though I can see the tiredness in your eyes. You're not the shopping kind anyway. Sorry. Ok I sidetracked. We finally tried Pepper Lunch for dinner..(hmm..sounds wrong haha) and I was interesting stuff. First thing is how they allocated seats haha we're so suaku and were standing around for a while trying to figure out where our seats were or we're supposed to choose ourselves. Then we realised oh some tables are reserved then this auntie kindly asked us our table number and then ohh..we figured it out. haha slow. (I was still thinking to myself..huh what number? where? haha) The whole concept was rather cool. We had to cook the beansprout and steak ourselves (basically..just turn it around haha) and we had fun experimenting with the sauces (don't know what they are..no labels too so we don't know which sauce is which so heck..just pour both la). Food's good..I thought the portion was quite big and I was so full after finishing the rice. Tian's combo of steak and chicken was good too. Oh the pepper is not very strong huh..haha but it's still nice anyway. Guess it's just a new concept and something like a hot plate. Quite cool.

Then I 'surprised' him with tickets to Chicken Little because he wanted to watch the show and he's so in love with the numa numa yea song by Ozone..haha show was alright. But don't watch it la..not worth the money. Wait for it to air on Channel 5 or Star Movies ok. heh It's really a show for children..some touching parts about parents having more faith and trust in their children but other than that..it's really cartoon. What you bring home is perhaps have faith in yourself and your ability no matter what everyone else thinks about you..learn to communicate with your parents and oh it's great to have good friends who always stand by you..especially a friend as cute as that little fish in the show. haha Tian found the fish so cutteee cos it does cool moves and stuff like they're not in trouble when they actually are. Yea it's cuter than Chicken Little heh.

Just for Tian..here's Fish Out of Water with Chicken Little and Ugly Duckling!! So cute right?~!! Haha Chicken Little and Ugly Duckling had a thing for each other.

Today's great day and tomorrow's Harry Potter day!! Damn slow I know..but it was exam period, so couldn't catch it earlier heh. Meeting Michelle at night too for dinner..yay~! Exams are all ending..and the holiday season is here!! But now..I need to get my beauty sleep. Getting up at 8am tomorrow for tuition at 9. Seriously my tuition kid wakes up earlier than me because her biological clock is set much earlier than mine. She wakes up automatically at 8.00 to 8.30am while I wake up automatically at..ermmm..11 am? Sometimes getting out of bed at 12 pm is no problem for me. Nvm..I'd just have to go to bed earlier..ok..it's 1 am now. Not early anymore.
