Merry Christmas!

I love my girlfriends to bits!! Jamie just dropped me off at Tian's place on her way to Ricky's, we just met up for tea with Baorong, Mich and Huiping, had a very cool gift exchange which made Mich very excited and then spent 3 hours chatting away at Coffee Bean @ Guthrie House. I loveee talking to the girls the most, though I had to hold back on my talking today because my throat was killing me and I couldn't stop coughing, the more I talk, the more I'll cough. So I'll definitely organise a New Year gathering with Betty, Ness and Baoxin too! Then it'll finally be full attendance and we can discuss on our new topic..the kenny ken ken!!! MuAhHhhhahaha only Mich, Jamie, Huiping and Baorong will know what I'm talking about. hehe we're so mean.

Christmas night @ Tian's

A small gathering with too much good food, a pity the food was wasted.

In the living room: Chester, Zhenjin, Yanli, Jerry

Attacking the turkey: Roy, Joel

We had smoked salmon, turkey, ham, fruit cake and fruits courtesy of Tian's mum, fried rice, sweet and sour fish and chicken from Yanli, chicken wings from Roy, yummy cheesy mashed potato from Mich Loh, rendang and bee hoon from Joel, veg + egg + prawn salad from Chester, noodles from William and last but not least, tiramisu from Zhenjin =) It was soo good.

The army people: Tian, Janyce, Roy

The CCAs: Joel the waterpolo player in his Team Singapore track suit, Zhenjin the secondary school scout, and Yanli the fencing captain.

Formal photo of the students: me the RGS girl wearing RJ blouse, William the AC boy who thought he looked very young, Mich the NJC rebel with short skirt, Jerry the 2nd NJ rebel in jeans (think the pants didn't fit), Chester the RJC boy with AC badge, and finally Yanrong the AC boy in his super mini PE shirt.

Informal photo!

Roy in his No. 1 with his training sword and Yanli in his fencing 'uniform', ready for battle =)

The girlies: me, Jan and Mich

Tiramisu for dessert! Mich suggested eating the cake off wine glasses to enhance its aesthetic value..haha. Mich and her quirky ideas. The cake was indeed delicious. Thanks a lot, Zhenjin!

Altogether now! I think the way the guys were standing at the back is hilarious.
Jess is sick..still

To cut the long story short, it was 2 days of inflammed throat after the camp, followed by a day of fever after I gave tuition on Saturday morning. Fever subsided after the panadols, but threatened to come back on Sunday afternoon after I got home from another tuition lesson. Oh ya, I think it was because I forgot to take the panadols that morning before tuition. So I have been sleeping a lot because I'm feeling weak and cold, was slightly better on Sunday evening..at least well enough to be at Tian's place for xmas eve dinner. Food was very good and the wine + chocolate log cake was so rich but I couldn't enjoy all that very much, because I was coughing and having a blocked nose the whole night, I had to struggle to eat while breathing through my mouth at the same time.

There's xmas tea with the girls later, ok more like half of the girls because Ness and Baoxin are in Japan together chasing their Jap idols, and Betty's in China I think. Then tonight there's xmas gathering at Tian's place with Tian's gang, theme is "kinky in Uniform" haha..courtesy of Mich Loh and I supported it! It's pot luck dinner but Tian's mum has quite a bit of food already so Tian's expecting pple to da bao food home. There'll be tiramisu from Zhenjin, cheesy mashed potatos from Mich Loh, veg salad from Chester, the very good dry mee pok noodle which we all specially requested from William's mum, more fish and other liao from Yanli and Roy and Tian has a whole turkey, more than 3 types of sausages from Marche and smoked salmon..not sure if there's more food. I just hope I won't be coughing at much later on, right now I'm coughing rather vigorously in front of the computer.

Oh yes, results will be released tomorrow at 5pm. And bidding starts tomorrow too. I have yet to think of what modules I want to take next semester. I've been sleeping and also out of house too much.

Tired and sweaty

Back from 3 nights at Temasek Hall. Dance camp was a total Blast! It was 4 days of dancing till 2 - 4am + loads of good fun..I really could not have asked for more. Back in the comfort of Tian's place now, and I'm craving for a good shower and a well-deserved nap.

I don't know why this holidays seems to be passing so quickly. Another week is gone just like that, people who went overseas for holidays are back already, but I still seem to be so busy everyday. There're just so many things coming up..and now, I'm really off to rest.

Back and gone again

The only reason I haven't blogged since the end of exams is because I have no time. Life's been very happening after the exams and there's so much to say but I guess I've to wait till 4 more days later before I can finally slack at home with nothing to do. The week after my last paper on Monday saw me spending much desired quality time with Tian, then there was a girls' night out in town followed by drinks + endless girl talk @ The Loof (we absolutely loveee the place!) with Ness and Betty who're finally back (photos are still stuck in Betty's and Ness's cameras..I ought to contact Betty soon, wonder how her home renovations are progressing.), and then dance prac for Impressario commenced and then it was dance everyday with a group of amazing girls till the next Tuesday, when Tian and I left for 2 nights of Genting alone and 2 nights of KL with the rest of the gang. Reached home on Saturday night and spent a night at Tian's since my family left for Malaysia (mum's hometown) on that very same day and sis's freezing in China with her friends so that just leaves me and my maid alone at home. Had a very good sleep and woke up only at 12 noon on Sunday, that is today, for lunch - yummy duck rice from the duck rice place near NUS, then Tian drove me home to pack for tomorrow's Blast! camp, before we leave my place for Tian's dad's birthday dinner at Hai Tian Lou @ Pan Pacific Hotel. Shall blog more about all these when I get back from the 4-day 3-nights dance camp. Arghh, supposed to go to bed before 12am but it's 12.30am now. Gotta report in sch at 9am tml with a very heavy bag. Loong camp, hope I won't be too shagged by the end of it. I'm just dreading tech class because I'm so super unfit now. I'll just die stretching and working those non-existent muscles because they've obviously turned to fats over the past month.

Actually, what I really want to do now is to catch up with the girls before it's been 2 weeks since I last heard from them. Wonder what they've been up to. Think Mich's off to Bangkok already, have yet to read her blog. Ok I'll be back with more updates. Hopefully I'll be free after camp. But hmm, knowing myself, I'll never ever be free because I have too many commitments and also because I want to do so many things. Lastest addition to the list of things to do this holiday - take intensive Cantonese lessons in the last 2 weeks of my holidays after camp ends, so that I'll be fluent in Cantonese by Chinese New Year.

And while I'm stuck @ NUS for camp, a gentle reminder to my dearest boyfriend to study intensively and stop slacking in front of the computer. 8th Jan is very near, you know that. =) nights!

I surrender

I don't know how to do every single question.

Li Liang tried to comfort me with an SMS today saying "if you can do 2 questions, you can get A- already..". So if I cannot solve a single question how? This has got to the my worst module ever, even last year's Maths or Statics or this sem's Fluid Mechanics can't beat this. I ought to have tried the exam papers much earlier, then only I'll know how lost and clueless I am for Signals. I'm in such a deep shit.

If I see many Bs on my result slip this semester how? Oh god I'm getting closer and closer to my downfall. And there's almost no hope of climbing up anymore.

I'm really very sian of not knowing how to do anything. I've never been reduced to such a state before.

But finally, my misery will end (temporarily) at 7pm on Monday. I really cannot wait. Tian, please come and save me from this nightmare.

Friday, December 01, 2006

This is an insane semester. 4 down, 2 more to go. The more papers I sit for, the more numb I get towards exams. Sometimes I get so tired of being disappointed, so tired of feeling so inadequate and lousy. But then I came home and saw the photo of the girl, and I'm reminded of how I should be so thankful for what I have.

And thanks guys, for all your encouragement. Lots of love from me to you.

Those legs

(courtesy of Winnie's blog)

Yes I'm very motivated now. To lose all my flabs after next Monday (ohhh yessss) and get legs like Nicole Richie!! Ok she's way too skinny but I like her muscular legs. My bones are definitely way bigger than hers (and my butt is way huge too) so I can never get my body to look like tt but I must at least attempt to exercise and dance a lot to have nice, tone legs! Ahhh so nice..wonder when I can finally wear denim shorts like Nicole Richie..hot eh? (ok I don't know why I'm so distracted now when I have a paper tml)

After next Monday (Mich, my last paper is at 5pm too haha. It's ok la..more time to study), I'm going to jog everyday (Lee Tian Loon, you better make some effort to motivate me ok..), dance everyday, read newspapers, finish watching Prison Break and Grey's and yes SHOP A LOT because I have no clothes to wear, especially lacking dresses, dressy tops, and also shop for winter clothing!! (Chiew reminded me today about winter clothing shopping and she's going to check out GAP. That reminds me..I have yet to step into the boutique after having visited Vivo twice.) Yea I want to think that I'm most probably going for SEP so I'll need pretty winter clothing! So exciting =))))..will talk more about it when I actually submit my application after next Monday. For now, it's back to Engineering Professionalism.

What is wrong with me

I'm really very depressed now. Never felt so stupid and lousy in my entire life. And I'm in the wrong faculty. Very very wrong. I don't know why other people get to do what they're truly interested in and enjoy but I don't. I don't know why my luck and fate is so lousy and I don't know why I'm not born richer, smarter, luckier. I don't know why I'm struggling so badly now..and suffering so much every single day.

It's not that I didn't try to be optimistic and hopeful and give my life and myself a chance. I did..but day after day I come home feeling so miserable and sad for myself. Like today. Went in hopeful and praying that I have Lady Luck with me..but no. Badly raped. I want to give up. And yes, I lost count of how many times I've said that ever since I stepped into NUS.

I miss Tian so much..although I just had dinner with him at his place yesterday. I don't know why also..and now it's killing me to find out that he came to Science Library to look for me but I just left for dinner at Subway. Then he drove past Subway and tried to see if I was in the queue but there was no queue!! (so I must be sitting down eating what!! Why didn't you try your luck again..=((( ) I was uncontactable because my handphone battery was dead (#@%#$#^#$@). Very very sad now..so unfated..ahhhhhh why must you make me miss you so much..

I'm totally falling in love with Waltz..I AM going to learn the dance one fine day..and yes on my wedding day I want to do a wedding waltz which is just as sensual as the one that they did today!!! I'm so so inspired, the dance was soo beautiful I love it.

Ok time to study a little now before ANTM later at 10pm. Monday is my favourite TV night!

My distraction

Know what..I just registered on greys-media.com just to view their gallery. Haha..all this while I'm supposed to study intensively. Tend to be a little slack after a whole day at YIH, but now that I've got a Grey's Anatomy wallpaper for my iBook, I feel happier and definitely can focus on my work now hehe. Oh..and my sister thinks I'm crazy haha.

Anyway Betty, my first paper's on 25th Nov and I'll only end on the 4th Dec, so in the meantime you and Ness can date each other hehe, and wait patiently for 2 more weeks for Jamie, Mich, Baoxin and I to be released from hell. =( I think Huiping's exams should end earlier than us, and our dear top student is free after 25th although she still has school till 8th Dec, but school always seems to end so early for them everyday so you can meet up with Baorong first! that's if she's not booked..hehe. Welcome home Betty and Ness!! muakkzzz

(Thanks anon..I almost forgot about that..things are really dangerous nowadays.)

Only one week left

I admit I'm very stressed out..my brain feels like it's going to explode any minute. Really. And I don't know what I can do to make myself feel better. I don't think I've felt this stressed out ever before..just one more week left and I actually have modules which I have not started revising for. I must be crazy. Ya..I'm really going crazy.

Had a short chat with Yiren today before our EG1415 presentations. It was nice to talk to someone who's so calm and cool..cos when I start hyperventilating and getting stressed out, there was a very calm, slow and soft voice telling me to study hard but enjoy life. So I did feel less stressed out for a few hours later, but when I was mugging at YIH, reality hit me hard on my head again. Every minute, day and night, there's this damn voice in my head telling me what deep shit I'm in and how I absolutely have no time..that I shouldn't even sleep at all because maybe if I don't sleep, I can finish revising and at least be more prepared for the exams. Ok I'm going crazy. Sometimes I have to slow myself down to be able to breathe properly.

And Mich, organic chem totally sucks. I thought I would be able to handle it quite well at the beginning..then we learnt the last 4 chapters on carbonyl compounds and I can't remember a single shit after reading the textbook twice! It's just those topics! What is wrong with me!! Ok I think I need to calm down..n perhaps read the textbook 10 times so that I can remember all the reactions.

pleaseee help me..I'm begging you.

President Bush is coming to Singapore this week? Since when?? Oh gosh I really need to start reading the papers on a daily basis. I hate the fact that my general knowledge is so so limited..it always makes me feel so stupid and uneducated.

And Tian's mum just smsed me about changes in O and A levels exam timetable because of road closures due to the President's arrival. My sister screamed - she doesn't want anything to be postponed. Haha she's so different from me..if I were the one taking the exams I wouldn't mind having an extra day to study =p.

Mum's birthday today..is that why I don't feel like studying at all? I've been in a celebratory mood for 3 days and giving myself so many breaks and actually went down to town all three days for various reasons when everyone else is mugging furiously..racing time. I know I need to study..but right now..for once..I just don't feel the stress, the urgency. Not yet.

I need to get the mugger back in me.

A year has past..and today I'm no longer a teen

After meeting up in town and shopped a little with Jamie for jeans..we met Mich and Baoxin, roamed around town because we couldn't decide where to go for dinner, before I finally picked up the courage to once again suggest bringing them to this Indian restaurant..the idea was obviously not very popular with them but after much work, I finally persuaded Jamie to drive all of us down for some really good Indian cuisine! Tian's parents brought us to Vansh once on their wedding anniversary and I enjoyed the dining experience there so much that I have to bring the girls there! So Jamie was very reluctant because she's not a fan of Indian food (neither am I!!) but in the end I still made the girls walk all the way from Paragon to International Building where Jamie's car was parked..and we made a short road trip down to Stadium Waterfront!

My 20th birthday @ Vansh with my favourites

The decor and cushions are so pretty! See Jamie's blog (soon) for more photos on details..especially the food. She practically took pictures of all the dishes and from different angles too haha, our true blue photo whore. She was snapping away even before we stepped into the restaurant haha. And so we ate and everyone liked the food!! Yayyyy I decided to give them a treat too, I have no idea why I'm feeling so generous, maybe because I made them travel all the way down to Kallang to try some Indian cuisine which they have not heard of, and it's all because I want them to be able to enjoy some unique food that I got to try..you know, share the love!! So I guess the happiest part of this birthday was making the girls happy, letting them have this unique experience of enjoying Indian food in a restaurant with very nice ambience.

Dearies Mich and Baoxin. See our $30 lobster at the bottom left hand corner of the photo? That's the most expensive dish for the night haha.

Birthday girl with Jamie. Oh ya did I mention that my dearest girlfriend has lost so much weight..and we used to wear the same size of jeans..then she got one size smaller than me..and now it's 3 sizes smaller than me! When we were at Guess earlier trying on jeans, standing beside her in a pair of skinny jeans made me look totally obese and huge beside her ok. I have such fatty thighs which really makes shopping for jeans so hard..and it's even worse when I'm standing beside my dear girl. Goodness..haha even Jordan said I put on weight, and that's no surprise because I'm not exercising anymore and sitting down at my table the whole day makes it even worse =p. Don't worry, I'll definitely exercise more after the exams, I shall get rid of tt chunk of fat that has been threatening to spill out of my jeans. It's gross I know. I can't take it myself.

The 4 of us with our very good Indian food! My treat!

Baoxin is stunned =|

Did I mention that it totally rocks now that one of us has got a car? Yeap Jamie rocks, and I lovee road trips haha..be it a short one from town to Kallang. I like the feeling of all of us being in a car and able to talk at the top of our voices and laugh all we want, and wait till Betty and Ness comes back for holidays, we can all squeeze into Jamie's pretty Colt!

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to you ladies again for taking time out to spend this day with me..and also to make me smile, if not I'd have mugged my birthday away. It's amazing how you day can change from morning to afternoon to the evening..just in one day I have experienced so many moods - panicked, then calmed down, then came sadness, and tears when Mich called, then laughter broke out..and more laughter till now..thank you to you guys for making today a happy day for me. I was really that close to not coming out for dinner. =) Thanks Jamie and Mich. You know how much I appreciate you guys..and thank you to my missing favourite girls (you know who you are..) and friends for your well wishes which poured in the morning while I was having tutorials so I had to delay replies and might have forgotten to reply.

Back home..2nd celebration

Tian's photog skills is going down the drain =p. Both family shots were dark on the top, most probably because his hand was covering the flash or sth. tsk. Anyway the story for tonight is that initially, I was not supposed to get to eat my favourite mango cake from Hilton this birthday because no one can make a trip down to town to buy it for me. My mum was going to get a cake from Jurong Point on her way home from work. Then, Tian found out about it and secretly collaborated with my sisters - smsed Jacinta to ask her to tell my mum not to get the cake because he was going to get the mango cake from me. And today, I was not going to meet him because he has 2 CA papers tomorrow and T/F questions are a headache so he really had to study. And I really thought I'm not able to meet him at all! But all the while he was planning to surprise me at my place with the mango cake! No wonder he kept calling me during my dinner with the girls, asking what I'm doing and how I'm getting home. I told him I was going to take the MRT (which was perfect for him to carry out his surprise) but in the end Jamie dropped Bx and I in town so I took bus 7 heading to Clementi. Bus 7 passes by Tian's place and in the end he could not carry out his secret mission because it'd be quite silly if he drives to my house alone while I take a long time to get home by bus. So in the end I alighted at his place and he drove us to my place. =) Long story haha. And I didn't find out about his secret mission till we reached my house and he took out the Hilton mango cake from the car boot!! I was so pleasantly surprised and really touched by his efforts..this is probably his most successful mission to surprise me, since I'm always so sharp and quick =p.

The love of my life..gosh I actually got to see him today. =) My birthday is finally complete. His mum bought the cake for him because she was dropping by Orchard, lucky him haha. I received an SMS from his mum this afternoon wishing me happy birthday, and I immediately called him to ask him if he told his mum about my birthday but he said no. For that afternoon I was still thinking "wahh how come Auntie remembers my birthday..", but of course it's because she helped to buy the cake for me. See la..Tian bluffed me and I actually didn't see through his bluff. =p

The naughty, cheeky, stubborn and loud little boy, who used to smile so innocently when he was a little baby. Now he's into acting cool and giving all those weird faces in front of the camera. Anyway he's still little, always craving attention from all of us because he's really quite lonely at home in the day, but he speaks like anyone of us, arguing with us as though he's 10 or sth. So yes, a small boy with a loud voice.

My sister had a good time taking these photos. And after that, they were laughing non-stop because of the transition.

Greedy Tian eyeing the best mango cake in town. I'm so glad he got his mum to buy it for me, I've been wanting this cake for my birthday since many months ago and Tian knows it =). I always like it for my family to enjoy delicious cakes from everywhere. I bought the Awfully Chocolate cake for them last Mothers' day, and I love to see everyone enjoying what I enjoy the most - cakes! hahaha..I haev a really sweet tooth.

Picture perfect..you & me. Once again you made me smile..and I can never thank you enough for everything you've done for me. I love you so so much.

I hope my wishes will come true.
Released into the wilderness

To Mich: Babe I like Pull and Bear!! They have an outlet in Taka you know!! Oh my gosh Tian and I were shopping around town today and we were just saying too bad there's no Pull and Bear in town and then it popped up right before us!! And and..Tian and I each bought an item from the boutique..again. 2nd time we're shopping at Pull and Bear..and the record has been 100%..we always find something to buy from the shop every time we visit it haha. The top tt I bought today only cost $15.90!! That has to be the cheapest top I've bought in a long time..and I even wanted to buy the top in 2 colours but decided to practise some self-restraint. The T-shirt that Tian bought only cost $25.90! So affordable! But then I saw a bag that I liked..unfortunately it was $89.90 so haha I had to let it go. For a moment I really thought I'd be able to buy anything I like from the shop because it's so affordable..but no. =(

Indoors @ Wisma Atria

Today marks the end of my birthday celebrations..birthday dinner with Tian will be postponed to December after my final exams. I have not had a proper evening with him in a long time and I'm really glad for today. We finally went out, doing what we used to do very often during the holidays - driving down to town, heading down to Chippy's for our favourite BBF with salt and vinegar, me pulling him into random shops..and the Christmas lights made walking along Orchard even more romantic.

The next time we'll get to do this again is in a month's time. I know time will pass very quickly.

Oh..today before tutorial, a tutorial mate asked me if I'm ok: " you don't look too good today..is it the mugging?" Is it that badd.. =(

This is life, accept it.

Life's been crazily hectic. I just don't have enough time to do all the things that needs to be done. Really have been trying to push my limit to the max, trying to sleep as late as I can and get up as early as I can so that I'd have more time to do my work and attempt to start revision. But right now, an Engineering Professionalism project is sucking way too much time away from my revision, and there's barely a month before the final exam starts - a month is not even enough to finish revision for 6 modules. I'm feeling so drained, my eyes feel so small and tired, my hair seems to be getting thinner, many tiny pimples are appearing on my forehead (must be the fringe =p), I chew lesser and rush through my meals to save time..I feel sad for myself.

But everyday, I have friends and Tian encouraging me not to give up and work hard..

I really feel so tired. I miss Tian so much.

And I'd be hibernating till the 2nd week of December. Till then, wish me luck.

gone were the days when life was better..

We got our tickets!

I'm hyperventilating!! This is too good to be true!!! I've been waiting for so many years ever since primary school (when they last came..Baorong, remember Ms Beh introduced us to Music of the Night?) and now they're finally bringing it back to Singapore! And yesss I missed it in London but I'm not going to miss it now! Just hope it'll be as good as London's production. SO EXCITING!!! Because I'm so happy tonight, I'm giving myself a self-declared break! No studying tonight!!! Yayyy I'm so so happy now and I shall call Tian to spread this happy bug but I don't think he'll be that excited because he's in mugging mood now. And he caught the musical when they last came to Singapore..but I don't care he'll watch it again with me! It's been so many years anyway. ;)

So exciting right! I didn't know about it till today you know..that's how slow I am. And ticket sales started on 4th Oct =p Hopefully good seats are still available. Yayyyy I loveee musicals!! Thought it's going to be quite a while before I'll catch my next musical but no! It's next March! hehe life's so exciting, and I'm a happy girl today =)

OMG this is hilarious

NTU Student Survey - Funny comments

One of the Blastards sent us the link through Blast's yahoo group. Just checked it out and I had a really good time laughing. I love to laugh but very few things actually get me laughing out loud, so yeap I really enjoyed this haha. If only I can see how the lecturer looks like..and I didn't know that NTU is so happening and lively. I doubt NUS pple will write such things in student survey forms. Either we don't even bother filling up the form, or we give lame suggestions like make the Organic Chemistry exam open-book..ya right.
Love is a foolish thing.

I'm going to cry...

This has got to be the saddest Korean drama.

My new craze

Kim Sun Ah's actually very pretty, as in maybe not as beautiful as other korean actresses like her counterpart in the show above, but she can look very pretty too. Started googling about her when my sister told me that she's actually a pretty model who had to put on weight for this show, just like Renee Zellweger in Bridget Jones' Diary. Why am I suddenly talking about her? Last Sunday I started watching My Lovely Sam Soon which I borrowed from Ness's mum many weeks ago, because I mugged my whole weekend away and on Sunday I (a deprived and no-life girl) decided to give myself a short break - ok 2 hours is not short - so yea, I indulged in some Korean drama to keep myself alive from all that GROSSSSS organic chemistry. And, I just sat for my 20% Organic Chem test yesterday, nearly died of headache from memorising all those specific reagents, conditions and mechanisms for what felt like a million reactions (seriously Mich, I used to be quite good at Organic Chem in JC, but now it seems so overwhelming and I just cannot commit every single reaction to memory, despite starting more than a week ago for a mid-term paper. It's really insane I tell you, seriously, what's the point of memorising all these organic reactions?~!!! I'm in Bioengineering! Argghhh not Chemistry major or sth!!) Anyway for some reason I decided to give myself a treat again, and spent the whole of yesterday night watching 3 episodes, from 8pm - 2am. Haha I'm really crazy becaue I'm supposed to be studying, but I told myself it's just one evening and I'm going to focus on my work from Friday onwards - gearing towards the final exams. Yeap, it's going to take a lot of discipline to keep the DVDs away but I shall be good. =p

Time to rave: It took me 2 episodes to fall in love with Hyun Bin, sheesh, though he is not that photogenic, he looks damn good on screen!!! The more I watch, the more I go crazy over him. And he looks so good in whatever he wears, especially in those black suits featured in the show. In the future I shall encourage Tian to buy such suits too, he'll definitely look stunning, with styled hair of course hehe. Oh and Hyun Bin is much better looking than Rain ok haha, Rain is really not tt cute. Michelleeeee!! I love this show!! I thought it was going to be another typical Korean drama (because I think the Gong show is similiar to Full House) where there's always this poor girl who's not as pretty or talented or rich as this other gorgeous girl and a guy is usually torn between 2 girls. So typical right? My Lovely Sam Soon is also like that, but there's more to than just watching 2 girls fight over a guy, or how their relationships develop and who wins in the end, I like all the complications too and I like how they talk about life and love. And I absolutely loveeee cakes haha so I feel happy watching her make cakes, and another thing is, watching Hyun Bin and his girlfriend (in this show), Jung Ryu Won, reminds me of Tian and I. Haha, because they have this strong chemistry when they're together, it's the chemistry of being together for so long and knowing the other half so well, inside out and upside down. But I'm only at episode 5, and things are starting to turn bad for them, so sad, 8 years of relationship you know, and she's really in love with him and fought bravely against cancer to live for him, but now everything's going against her and she's so hurt. I feel so sad for her whenever she gets hurt and cries. You'll definitely love her too if you watch the show, because she's a very strong girl, and yes she's so pretty, I can't stop staring at her whenever she comes on screne, and when she smiles she'll totally melt any guy's heart. It's very rare that you'll like both girls in the show, when they're fighting for the same guy, but I'm torn between them and can't seem to take sides because I really like them both. =)

Daniel Henney & Jung Ryu Won

The girl in the picture above is Jung Ryu Won, whom I was talking about in the previous paragraph. So pretty right! She's really very sweet, has a pair of very nice eyes and her smile is so attractive! I want to look like her!! hehe. Daniel Henney, the other main guy in the show, is absolutely handsome too, he's actually better looking than Hyun Bin perhaps because he is American/British/Korean mixed..he's just sooo charming! (See, I'm really mesmerised haha) See his white coat and black shirt? I love his outfit and style. Black and white are my all-time favourite colours.

So yayyy I'm happily mugging hard (trying at least), with doses of Korean drama as fuel =) After watching Full House last holiday, I was very occupied with Grey's and now, finally I'm back to Korean drama. Think I'm going to watch Gong too before I start on House, and that would be during the Dec hols. I can't wait!

A lot of things to blog about for the past 2-3 weeks but couldn't find the time due to studies, guess I'll talk about them part by part in time to come. For now, I need to prioritise and focus! One more month and that's it. I hate the fact that I have so little time to do so many things. I'm out!

Wade Robson @ Overdrive Finals, Singapore

Wade Robson & team dancing to Sexy Back!!! This was at the Overdrive Finals held on the 13 Oct 06 at Esplanade Concert Hall, Singapore. I'm just very sad I missed this hugeee event. Oh gosh if I were there I would have gone crazy and be screaming throughout the whole dance. He's so damn good!!! N yes I would make Tian scream with me too hehe. Ahhhhh I just spent one whole hour on youtube watching his videos. He totally rocks man. Too bad the quality of the video is not that good, nothing can compare to being at Esplanade that night watching his performance. I'm so jealous of everyone who got good tickets!!! It'll be like another 10 more years or sth before he'll ever come back to Singapore, or even worse, never. arrrgghhhhhhh

Mid Autumn Festival

After school today (TGIF!), it was off to Tian's place for a short nap before we head down to his grandparents' house for zhong1 qiu1 jie2 celebrations.

This was my darling boyfriend at the "lantern station", making sure the whole place is nicely decorated with lanterns, of course with the help of other kids.

We hung the lanterns everywhere, on the plants and gate too. Eh, my sony ericsson camera phone is lousy. The pictures are baddd, but the phone is cheap and good in other areas.

This was my first time having dinner at Tian's grandparents' place, also my first time joining them in their annual mid autumn festival celebration. We had a very sumptuous dinner, with duck, chicken, huge mushrooms, very fresh prawns, roast pork, kick-ass big fish and veggie. Then we adjourned to the front porch to shang yue with mooncakes, pomelo, peanuts, watermelon, some round brownish fruit whose name I don't know, also huge rambutans supposedly from India or sth like tt. They also prepared la3 la1 - the shellfish, I forgot to ask the adults what was the special meaning to eat la3 la1 on this day. But they cooked A LOT of shellfish, 2 towering trays of shellfish ok. I didn't touch it, because it was black in colour and I didn't know how to suck the lala out from the shell (usually dig it out with fork).

Offerings were made, I don't know to which god though. And it was the first time I see Tian and family praying with the joss stick and I realised I've so much to learn about their religion. And the adults were asking if I can speak Cantonese, again. They always forget that I can't, and that I can't even speak my dad's dialet. So at Tian's family gatherings, I'll usually not know what the adults are talking about and Tian will automatically translate to me when relevant, with his limited vocabulary haha.

Leaving his grandparents' house..located just a short walk down from Tian's place. Oh ya I think I have the cutest boyfriend. Well it was my first time to his grandparents' place right, so I saw many more photos of Tian when he was a little boy with his signature hairstyle, like his hair was cut using a bowl. Anyway my darling boyfriend was so much more smiley when he was little, and his smiles were either the cheeky kind or the "I know I'm cute" kind. Basically he looked super cute when he grinned or laughed in photos, with the cute "bowl" haircut and big eyes. Haiz my boyfriend WAS so handsome. What HAPPened to you?!! Haha..I'm kidding.

Time to sleep and recharge for a long mugging day tomorrow! I love the weekends.

The bells rang at 12..

It's over again, but I had the most awesome break mugging almost everyday in the library with Tian. Just the 2 of us dragging our feet down to Central Lib every morning and motivating each other, especially when my eyelids become droopy or when he slack off to play games on his handphone. And with him mugging with me everyday (I even had him going to the library on a Sunday), there's nothing more I can ask for. I must be the luckiest mugger in the whole world. And I'm going to miss this badly. I'm going to miss spending my everyday with him.

P.S. Thanks dears, thanks for talking to me. You all have made me a stronger person. Sorry for the misunderstanding and thanks for your forgiveness. I really don't know what I'll do without you girls. I'm sorry I'm getting a little mushy here, but I want to tell you all that I love you very much.

I love you dear..although you don't like my new fringe. =)

But because you love me too, you have to respect my choice of hairdresser and learn to like my fringe ok. That's ai4 wu1 ji2 wu1. =p And I think I look very decent dear. Pretty in fact hehe. Life's short, and you know your girlfriend is always game to try new things and loves to explore new territories and uncrossed boundaries. And I think that's a good trait, so learn to appreciate it darling! Muakzzz

ShutUpNDance! Finale!!

Idil's item!..taken right after we got off the stage. We were supposed to pose in character, oh ya, this was our final pose on stage for the item. Haha so cute.

This photo was taken Before we were rushed onto stage. I miss everyone so much. (ok I just met some of them at class on Wednesday but still..I miss DR)

All ready in our ShutUpNDance Dance Reflections 2006 T-shirt designed by Ahmad! (who's the first cute guy I spotted at Blast's Welcome Tea a year ago hehe) We were waiting backstage during the final item, Alumni's performance, to get back up on stage for the very last time to do curtain call. Everyone was frantically taking photos because it is the FINAL night of DR.

Me with Candy, who totally rocks. Another of my role model and I love the dance she choreographed! She's one of the friendliest seniors to me..I respect her a lot.

Ok I look bad in this photo, but I'm putting it up because it's with Callie! Ok her name is Calista, she was one of the MCs for the concert, and Dedrick went crazy over her, William thinks she's hot too! Haha she's even hotter when she dances (and she was in 3 items), so I don't blame them heh. I loveee her butterfly tatoo!

And that was it, just 3 days and it concluded all the effort we've put in for the past 3 months. Just 3 nights to perform for our loved ones, to showcase to other dance groups our passion for dance, to prove to ourselves that we have improved. I think I did myself proud because I really practised and took in all the constructive criticisms given to me over the past 3 months. It was such an intensive period and when time really flies when you're having fun.

Guess who insisted on coming for the 2nd time..luckily I had an extra ticket for him. Just 2 days ago, one of my dance friends commented that Tian and I look alike. Haha..so I said perhaps we've been together for so long that we grew to look like each other. Then I told him he's lucky to look like me..and of course he quickly stopped me to say that I'm the lucky one. Haha..

The medicine LBBC gang came too! Of course excluding Hwee Ying who was my guest and Dedrick, Christine who came with Sarah, Chin Siang and Clarabelle! My RJC 1/2S03G! Because the dancers had to pack up and vacate the theatre, we had to spend some time changing out and packing all our make-up and costumes before we could come out so I missed Sarah and Belle. Very sad. What's even sadder was that there was some ticket problem and YJ and Derek couldn't watch my performance. And I told Derek about my dance performance so excitedly long ago in July when we were chatting on MSN. Haiz very sad but nvm, there's always next year and many more years till I graduate haha.

Me with Zhenjin! Who was so nice to buy me a champagne/white rose! Yea it wasn't white..more of champagne I think. And it was a beautiful bloom..you know..roses that open up very nicely..yeap mine was like tt!

Christine! who was so so supportive. Thank you to my very sweet class who did not forget me though I'm the only soul in Bioengineering. And thank you for the lovely bouquet, especially to YJ and Derek who chose it, yes YJ, your bouquet skills improved tremendously from JC days..because he once bought something close to chrysanthemum for Sarah on her birthday. Hahahah the girls in class thought it was reallyyy weird. But then again, Ghim Mo market was the nearest to school so that explained the chrysanthemum haha. In the end it was the thought that counts. So thanks again guys, my wonderful JC class with whom I spent 2 memorable years.

The last of my darlings who could make it for the concert..Baorong! Our top medical student only arrived back in Singapore that afternoon after a gruelling medical physiology quiz in Malaysia. Yes she was chosen, with a few others, to represent NUS. How pro is that, excuse me?~!! Though it was a slaughtering session I heard haha. See the huge and bright sunflower in every photo? Baorong got it for me! It was bigg and beautiful, but somehow I didn't manage to keep it alive to see it bloom. I have no idea why. I cut the stem shorter and placed it in a vase with water of course. Upon checking everyday, I only find the sunflower closing up. The petals didn't even turn brown, the flower just started closing up and I figured it was dying. Wondered if it was because it wasn't exposed to the sun. Do sunflowers need sunlight to bloom?

Anyway I love Tan Poh Yong and I will try to commit to squash trainings because the team has a committed and hardworking captain whom I voted for and on top of that, she's my dearest girlfriend so the more I have to go down for training! I'm glad you enjoyed the performance babe. =)

Last but not least, the ladies!

To my dear Betty who sent me an SMS today (you didn't leave your name but I'm quite sure it was you haha..only you call me jeje, the other girls don't heh)..I'm sure you'll be my biggest fan after Tian too haha. I can't wait for the day that you can come for my performance! And Ness and Huiping too! Miss you Betty, miss your cheerfulness and miss the face that always make me smile. I can't wait for December to come!
