Just ONE more to go...
I have a mani&pedi waiting for me (anyone wanna join me?), plus tons of shopping for myself (heading down to Marina Square after Maths paper for the last day of Buffalo sale because I need a pair of jeans BADLY) and for Tian...I'm going to get him nice shoes, ties and shirts so that he can charm the patients at TTSH and bring a smile to their faces. Also I'm looking forward to many dates with the girls...shopping, major bitching, catching up with Baoxin and Huiping also - guys, remember we still owe her a birthday treat?? We must do it ok. And to the BIE pple, haha just that day I was dreaming about a post-exam celebration on THE yacht, the only yacht that serves Italian cruisine from Il Lido...hahaha. How shiok it'll be if we could organise a getaway again! But ya, I know, fat hopes haha.
And and, I'm planning to go to Studio Wu for Bryan's class! Definitely need to dance again because there'll be castings in the holidays for 2 performances and I really really want to be part of it, especially DR!!! And, Monday will mark the end of a very fat and flabby phase that I'm in, with cellulite even...I'm serious. I'm going to start exercising and lose all that bulk around my waist, hip, thighs, butt...and I'm going to fit into my shorts once again. Jamie got skinner during exam season while I grew so fat in just a matter of weeks. =(
Before I meet up with them, just wanna tell Mich and Baorong that I love you guys so much. Thanks for replying my SMSes so quickly, for being so patient with me and listen to all my traumatic complaints. I have been bombarding them with SMSes almost everyday for the past week. I'd really go crazy if I did not talk to you guys. Mich, study hard k! Better study each module more than 3 times since you only have 2 or 3 papers! haha. N Jamie, I'll update you when we meet k. It's nothing much. =p
I'm feeling a little happy now despite a traumatic paper earlier. Maybe because I'm thinking about Tian. =)

I love the library
Random fact No. 1: My face's turning into a pimple farm.
Random fact No. 2: I love the quiet and fairly empty Medical Lib. Last semester I was at Science Lib. This semester I dumped Science Lib for this emptier hence quieter hiding place!
Random fact No. 3: I know I'm also slacking but someone near me is actually watching Sex and the City on the library computer! OMGGG... I also want. And I just saw an X-rated scene. Naked woman. Haha. No prize for guessing who's eXposed most often in SATC. ;)

The Phantom of the Opera
Breathtaking. It was a total feast for the eyes, ears, soul, what have you. The scale of the props was extreme, the most massive I've seen so far, and the costumes were gorgeous, gosh the details were unbelievable ok...especially the masquerade opening after the interval, I was totally blown away by their costumes and face make-up/paint. Another thing I can't wait to rave about is the part when the Phantom and Christine were rowing a boat under the tunnel, the water effect was WAY COOL. Seriously how did they manage to get that effect?!! I've experienced dry ice or that smoking effect at DR last yr and also a Sony Ericsson show few months back and the 'smoke' always rises up! How did they manage to make the 'smoke' form a thin layer over the stage and even flow down the stage, making it looked so so real, like water flowing down a river/stream. It was damn amazing, and the lights in the dungeon...simply gorgeous. Loved every part of it, although I have to admit there were some parts where I couldn't make out what they were singing...can't make out the exact words. =( Overall, I wasn't lost at any part so that's good. Oh oh, and the very last scene, OMG how the hell did the Phantom just DISAPPEAR from beneath his cloak? It's a magic trick!!! I'm not joking, I bet my eyes only wandered away for a very short while and the next minute when Meg pulled the cloak, there was nothing on the seat! Just a second ago, there was still a figure under that cloak!!! We were sitting so close to the stage, he couldn't have escaped by running backstage or sth if not we would have seen it. Amazing la. And the pyrotechniques...all the gun shots, sparks and fire shooting out from the stage, it was so impressive. Tian and I could smell the gun powder from where we were. Everyone go catch the musical! I wonder if the London Broadway set is as elaborate as this. Oh hmm, I thought the chandelier could have been more elaborate though, looked a little simple to me, needed larger crystals or sth. Seriously I was so blown away by the whole cast, and yes I totally agree with Liquan, after listening to Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman's version of songs, I preferred what I heard today by Brad Little and Rebecca Pitcher! I love Brad Little's voice a lot and Rebecca Pitcher's voice may be a little too opera-ish for me, but she was captivating.
That's your Brad Little CD, Liquan! I purposely requested for an autographed CD! 2nd last one left for the night! Ok now to complaints, haha sorry I just had to get this out of my chest one last time, after disturbing Tian about it during the musical. For this musical, do not choose seats in the first 10 rows. Not because the chandelier will fall on top of you but ya, that's one effect you will not be able to capture if you're sitting right under it. And the whole stage has golden pillars around it with sculptures and when you look from the back (more than 10 rows back), then only can you get the whole feel of the majestic set. I thought the golden pillars were damn nice, and those sculptures even had details such as crystal dangling earrings. From where I am, I could not get a holistic feel of the grand stage but I enjoyed up-close of all the props and costumes, make-up and facial expressions of the cast (which is the main reason why I chose seats 5 rows from the front...but end up regretting it), the "river" effect and of course very good sound quality. I always wonder how they sing so loudly, because I really couldn't find any microphones on them and their voices were booming in my ears and especially the high notes (Rebecca Pitcher is seriously an OPERA singer), from where I was sitting I could see how they opened their mouths so big to sing it out. Haha, but their voices were amazing. One last thing that I regretted tonight was not giving them a standing ovation. I was so close to standing up to clap for the cast during curtain call, and I could see Brad Little looking down at the first 2 rows of audiences who stood up for him and he was saying 'thank you'! The cast of the Phantom of the Opera totally deserved a standing ovation, I guess I made it up by clapping so hard for them. Oh ya, one thing about the plot, I didn't expect Christine to remove the Phantom's mask so early in the musical, I thought that would take place much later and in the meantime, let Christine fall in love with the Phantom first but sadly she didn't. The Phantom was really pitiful at the end of the musical. He was childish, but all because he was deeply in love with her. Love makes people do strange and childish things. Anyway I was hoping that Christine would fall in love with him so that at the end it would also be an internal struggle for her to choose between the Phantom or Raoul but nope. At least he got a kiss from her. Haiz, poor Phantom. Oh but I'm rather disturbed by the fact that he was a murderer. =( Not to mention psychotic because he owned a mannequin of Christine in a bridal gown. Perhaps that was why Christine did not fall in love with him although he was her Angel.
I look haggard but who cares. No time for make-up also and had to change in the car hahahaha. First time. =p I shall stop raving now. I doubt anyone would read such a lengthy post anyway, Jacinta said no one would read my boring blog because it's full of words aka I'm so long-winded. To me, that's the purpose of my blog really, to talk about my experiences! To my darling snooky-pokums, thanks for a wonderful night and the obligatory dessert + Italian mango smoothie at Menotti to end the night. I'm a dessert/pastries person and Tian loves me so he gives in to me. =) hahaha

The Phantom Lancer made his debut today. And I was picked up from Central Lib this afternoon by a very excited boyfriend who can't wait to show off his new toy to me. We ripped off the plastic over the seats and changed the settings of the radio thingy, including changing the colour of the light from a very ah beng blue colour to a classy red which matches the red stitches lining the leather seats.

On repeat mode now. I absolutely love her voice and the song. It sent a chilling sensation down my spine when I first watched this on Bean's blog. Maybe because the song is really sad. It brought back really fond memories of London, right Tian? Les Mis is one of my top favourite musicals of all time, not that I have watched a lot of musicals but I really loved it. Always wanted to buy the original soundtrack but it's a little pricey.

OMG
Just saw YIMING and her name appear on my TV screen. It was an advertisement for Miss Singapore Universe 2007. OMG. Speechless. I may be slow because I have not watched TV for the longest time and the ad may already be showing on TV for quite a while. I immediately smsed Mich and Jamie and now Jamie's excited to watch the event haha. I don't think we ever watch Miss Singapore Universe, but this year, depending on when it is, it'd be quite fun to organise a gathering (at Tian's place perhaps? hehe) with the girls to watch Miss Singapore Universe. hahahaha I can just imagine a major b*tching session. Nothing bad!
On a very random note, I shall update on my very exciting life now as a mugger. Other than mugging in school everyday, with occasional tuition lessons, something more interesting happened today. Mich and Jamie, I am finally willing to discard my "ugly" pink wallet - according to Mich, and whip out my spanking new brown Guess wallet , a birthday present from my dearest girlfriends last year. See, the only reason I haven't changed my wallet to the new one was because it felt very wasteful to discard a wallet which was in perfect working condition. I usually change wallets when there's a hole in it, so although there was a pretty new wallet waiting for me, I couldn't find a good enough reason to throw the old pink one away! And today did it. I dropped my old trusty pink wallet into the squatting toilet bowl. Don't ask me how. I just did. So now I definitely do not want to use it anymore and it was getting very dirty and black anyway. Hello to my new wallet! Yayy, thanks again for getting it for me.
My favourite Cell Bio test is on Tuesday. Did I mention that I am MISSING Prison Break 2, ANTM, Ugly Betty, Amazing Race, Desperate Housewives, and the new Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency reality show on Channel 5! I ought to be watching them all!!! The timing is damn screwed up really, can't MediaCorp check when the undergraduates have their final exams and maybe start airing the the shows during the 3-month holidays! Arghhh. Right now Jacinta is watching ANTM but I resisted and exercised some self-discipline because I have to study. Ok I'm Supposed to be studying.
Tian's sitting for his first paper tml. Other than getting Haribo to keep him awake and the chicken essence, I can't do anything else for him other than those usual words of encouragement. Seriously felt so useless. He's sitting right in front of me going crazy memorising those words which I can barely pronounce and I can't even help him a single bit. What kind of lousy girlfriend am I. Other guys have their girlfriends beside them to consult and discuss microbiology with but all I could do was to smile at him when he looked at me. Sorry dear. I really hope for the best for you tml, and also for Baorong and all my med friends. Study hard guys.

Rendezvous
That's possibly the best word to describe our get-away yesterday (to somewhere in between Singapore and Indonesia), considering how we got so high ogling at the yatch, the hot-looking crew on board with us **ahem..looks at Chiew** and the food from Il Lido!!! Insanely high! The whole experience of relaxing 'far' away from Singapore on a cosy, classy yatch with the bioengin gang was so wonderful, so surreal and definitely unforgettable. It was the best birthday celebration ever! Who could have asked for more, right babe? We all want our very own yatch now!
That's one pretty and funky birthday girl with her very fortunate and honoured friends. =) Yay bioengin rocks! Haha! And a very Happy 21st Birthday to You tomorrow!
