Bimbo Talk
To Chiew Mei and Li Quan, my fellow tai-tais-in-training, I think I'm graduating from tai-tai school very soon. Not only am I playing mahjong twice a week now, you ladies will be proud to know that I finally own some pretty lingerie from La Senza! (I remembered you two were shocked when I told you guys one afternoon, while having lunch at Engine Canteen, that I have not stepped into La Senza before...) The damage was more than 100 bucks...and it's only my 1st time to La Senza. Can't help it, they were having 30% sale and I don't know if it would be cheaper in stores or online so I just bought them. Anyway it's about time I change to a more affordable brand of lingerie, Triumph is getting way too expensive. La Senza is a little cheaper and very comfortable too!
My darling boyfriend didn't even attempt to help me save money today, but I really have to thank him so much for shopping with me. Although I may complain that you have very little patience when you shop with me, I know I have to be very thankful that you would actually go shopping with me in the first place. Not all boyfriends are willing to do that, I know, and not every guy would remind their girlfriend to get a new piece so I am very proud of you haha! You have no idea how happy I am today with you, of course also because we had such a good dinner at Dian Xiao Er! I'm definitely bringing my girlfriends from the SISTERHOOD there for dinner on our next gathering. Just don't order the lime and plum juice and everything else should be great. So yes, back to my dearest boyfriend, I am so appreciative of the fact that you came down to Vivocity to shop with me although you were tired after a long day at TTSH. I really shouldn't ask for more, and I am truly thankful for such a wonderful boyfriend who pampers me (...most of the time...hehe), but you know, I am far from being the perfect girlfriend and I tend to forget and complain about you sometimes so pls forgive me! And recently, I have disappointed you yet again, so thanks dear, for being so ever patient with me and giving me another chance to change for the better.
Ok ok back to the tai-tai-in-training talking, I also went for the crazy one-day Isetan sale which I didn't fare too well, only grabbed a pair of heels from Substance because Nine West (with only a miserable 10% off) was way too expensive for a poor, working tai-tai-cum-student, me. And it didn't help that I tried so many pairs of jeans that day, from Buffalo to CK jeans to 7 For All Mankind...but none was perfect, not even those from 7 For All Mankind. And I remembered I was really tired that day - I ended work at 6! - and had a headache on the bus from NUS to Orchard...everyone should know how bad the jam at Orchard Road can get whenever there's the Isetan sale. And goodness I had so little time to shop and my headache worsened as I squeezed through the crowd to get to the goodies. I think I need more training in handling crowds and conquering sales.
Ok this post is getting way too bimbo. I'm off to watch ANTM 7!
