Tian and I went over to Jega's place last night for mahjong so that we have an excuse to stay past midnight with Michelle to celebrate her birthday! I can never play mj in front of the tv, half the time I was watching the 9pm Channel 8 show with Michelle updating me on the story and then Jega stunned us by completing a shi2 san1 yao1. haha too bad he's playing with us and not his guy friends cos we only cap at $3.20, if not he'd get so much money!!! He was only 2 tiles away when he first opened his tiles...zzZzZzz. And then Mich and I talked a lot of nonsense like how both of us should be air stewardess for a year or so after we graduate because both our medic boyfriends will be very busy studying/working. Then I suggested leaving our guys for one year to work for Emirates and live in Dubai haha. But of cos Mich will never do that. Soon the clock striked 12 and we brought the cake out while Jamie tried to call Mich all the way from Australia.
The hideous tiramisu cake which I made for Mich, good thing it tasted better than it looks. Quite a bit of drama that afternoon while trying to make the cake for the first time in Singapore, which saw me calling Michelle, Joshua and Zhenjin up, which also involved me throwing away my first try because the taste wasn't right, and I also had to throw away my 2nd cheese-cream mix because it became fluffy after mixing. Time was running out and I had to rush to Cold Storage to buy another set of ingredients for the cake. I love Cold Storage. Especially the 24hr one at Holland V. They have everything and I can do last-minute shopping at 11pm! Anyway thank god on the 3rd try the cheese-cream mix tasted decent so I went on completing the cake, just in time to bring it over to Jega's before mahjong.
The two lovebirds are off to Sentosa today for her birthday celebration, the only day Mich isn't going to her lab for her FYP. Have fun, you two! Bet they'll try to find some private beach again hahahaha.
