In the mood to blog

To Mich Ang, since your chatterbox is no longer working so get a new one! - omgggg thank god I don't have to kill mice for FYP!!! That's so grossss and evil!!! Now I'm appreciating my FYP, cos I don't have to culture cells which are so prone to infection, or handle blood which has a short life span, or kill rodents or animals. It may not be as exciting or bloody or gross, but it's good for me. haha. Oh man Mich, I think one day I have to drop by your lab to watch you do it. Just can't imagine you dissecting a mouse. eeewwwww.

On another note, I'm reading Twilight! Caught the movie last week with Tian, in a cinema with teenage girls screaming away even before the movie started. Haha. Reminded me of myself during RGS days. The only difference now is that I don't scream out loud, I'm just gushing over him silently. haha. I'm not saying he's very handsome or whatsoever. I just think he's the right guy for the role and despite his bushy/puffy hair, he did look perfect, so mysterious and hypnotizing, yet when he smiles and warms up, any girls' hearts would melt. Who is to blame Bella for being so attracted to him. He's so charming and he wins Harry Potter hands down. Ohhh and that scene when he appeared wearing the Ray-Ban Wayfarer, omggggg I nearly died. I immediately told Tian that I have to get the Wayfarer! I think Tian should get a pair too so we can have couple shades! omg I must have it!!!

I can't make the picture above any smaller. hahaha don't know when I'll stop gushing over him. Anyway I did think the movie was a teeny weeny bit draggy but I enjoyed the close-ups of Edward and Bella, unlike Mich. Hope I'll enjoy the book more!

Finally, the recent BIE gathering was a great one! Despite the lousy organiser who could not provide directions to both the restaurant and the bar, I had wonderful friends who know their way around Singapore, especially the Little India area, so all of us managed to find the correct Anjappar (the one beside Mustafa) and had a sumptuous dinner!

The dish on the right is our favourite cauliflower dish! It's so yummy and it sparked off the cauliflower STD discussion that ended with "ask chiew".:) Anyway it's genital warts! caused by human papillomavirus.

And I love my naans. Cheese, garlic, or with potato filling. All good.

The two who have ORDed, or more importantly, done with FYP for good. Arghhhhh.

After dinner, we drove a few streets down to Zsofi Tapas Bar for drinks. I read about this place from The Ridge. Too geeky. But I think it's a great find and these bars and backpackers' hostels along Dunlop Street reminded me of Europe.

These free bites came with our drinks and I had a super sinful but yummy cocktail of frangelico, toblerone and vanilla ice cream. It's damn shiokkkk.

Chiew's posing and really, I was the sleepy one cos I started the day early with tuition at 9am, followed non-stop action in the lab till it was time to meet them.

Yayyy! Thanks to everyone who made this gathering possible!!! It was good fun.

And I have decided, it shall be Electrophysiology and bioMEMs for my last semester in NUS! 2-day week! (ya right) Shall conclude my 4 years in NUS with a whole lot of bioengineering. Did zero engineering modules last sem and I was always at Science. Next sem will see me stuck in Engin all day and night. I need to psyche up for that.
