I love my life

Wednesday - End of exams. Despite the rain, I managed to meet Jamie in town after a short trip to the Malaysia High Commission. We talked about everything over dinner at Soup Spoon (good stuff), followed by some window shopping for bags and some very specific jewellery which comes in a blue box. hahaha. Also photo-whored with the Christmas trees as usual. Paragon's Christmas tree is my yearly favourite! Parted at about 10pm and headed to Tian's place where we just chilled in front of the TV and Tears of the Sun was on. I thought the show was so super nice, very sad but touching.

Thursday - Super accomplished day in town. Brought Jovina to Gataomo to get her haircut, Jacinta and Bess were there too, followed by Yanli and Hans. Spent very long there because I had to babysit Jovina and pay for her of course. Had Chippy's BBF in salt and vinegar and tei bing! damn shiok. Sent in my super old but durable CK watch for servicing finally, to get the glass face changed - so it was so badly scratched since that unfaithful PE session at the basketball court in RGS...yeap the watch was with me since secondary school. Tian and William came along to Gataomo to get their haircuts too at about 5pm after their clinics. After they were done, I had my eyebrows done finally! They looked so bad throughout the whole exam period. Gross. And I'm still scar-faced by the way, ever since the exams, and my face hasn't really improved much. Now I can't go out to meet people without covering the red dots on my face with concealer. For dinner, I can't help but recommend Soup Spoon to Tian because I found it really nice yesterday so I brought Tian there and I got to try another type of soup! Whether it's chicken or beef, I loved both! Tian was very happy with it too.

Friday - Another trip to the Msia High Comm at 8am in the morning to renounce my Msian citizenship. It's finally done! I had to wait from 8am to 11am ok! Just sitting there doing nothing! I was so sleepy so I slept. Would never have made it down so early if Tian didn't drive me there before his clinics. Muakz. Rushed down to Marina Square for lunch with Chiew, Kristy, Li Quan and Tryph + the boyfriends excluding Tian. Kenny Rogers!!! BUT I FORGOT TO ASK FOR DRUMSTICK. Jess does not enjoy chicken breast meat. So I struggled with my chicken over great conversations and catching up with the girls! Love them. The boyfriends were very funny at times too. And we had fun bitching about school again, the people, the modules, everything. Poor things though, I'm sure the boyfriends were lost. Oh and Kristy strolled in late, but looking like a supermodel. haha. In the latest winter collection. And she was being teased non-stop after that. hehe. I also made a comment which makes me super thick-skinned and I bet the boyfriends all wanted to puke blood. Haha, at least we all had a great time laughing at one another! Thanks Chiew for organising the gathering! Li Quan was so enthusiastic and immediately planned our next gathering on Sunday night for drinks at IndoChine! That's TONIGHT haha. My life is becoming more happening because of them la. I've never even been to IndoChine at Empress Place. Where is that! After lunch we had yummy milkshakes at Billy Bombers! Wahh it's so good la...so rich but not too thick also. Huge though so good thing I shared with Kristy and Li Quan though I think I finished most of it=p. Billy Bombers was so empty and we got a nice round table! Then there were more talk of hot girls and guys...about boobs and money...haha.

Chiew's chocolate malt I think, plus the star: Tryphena's chocolate truffles!!! Omg it is so so good I'm telling you, it practically melts in your mouth and it's not like too rich or overwhelming...it's just nice and it tastes damn good! I L.O.V.E chocolate la...told her I have to learn how to make it, then can impress Tian's parents hehe.

The bioengin tai-tai wannabes + boyfriends: Jeremy, Tryphena, Lenith, Li Quan, Me, Kristy, Chiew Mei and Mohan! Dear Tian had his ambulance call that day and couldn't join us for lunch.

The true blue NUS bioengineers.

The Bioengin gang parted at about 4pm+ and I had time to kill before meeting Lauren and Farhana for dinner so I went Topshop shopping at Suntec. May I just reemphasize how freaking expensive Topshop is becoming and there were some nice clothings but they really shouldn't cost that much! Still I couldn't resist and got myself a new dress. Big hole in the wallet=(.Somehow I never fail to convince myself that it'll be worth it.

So 7pmm came and I met my two ex-tuition kids for dinner at NYDC@Holland Village. They were like waving frantically when they saw me la. Damn funny haha we haven't met since mid November after their O Levels ended. So they updated me on their lives, on Lauren's family whom Tian and I got rather friendly to. They also told me the O Level results were coming out next Thursday! And then they did the sweetest thing...

See the shirt above?? It was a gift to me! It's so super nice ok, athough they chose that very ugly photo of me secretly taken by Lauren during a tuition lesson. Then they added a pink crown on my head and above me are their very sexy lips! Lauren says she's the president of my fanclub haha. It's the sweetest present ever. Good thing I also bought them Christmas gifts, but my simple star necklaces from Perlini's Silver can never beat their personalised T-shirt. They made me laugh so much during dinner (because they say and do the funniest things) that at one part I remembered what Jamie said about laughing and wrinkles and worried if I'm going to have so many wrinkles because I'm laughing so hard till my face is cramming. They make me feel really young though, and said the next outing I should bring Tian and because Lauren loves the arcade, Tian and her can play the shooting games while Farhana and I, people who can't shoot for nuts, can entertain ourselves with the silly hockey game haha!

Saturday - Went extremely late for a sale that I shouldn't have gone because I almost fell in love with bags that cost at least $1500. Good thing I have not fallen to the dark side and patiently grabbed hold of that lovely black Balenciaga bag with silver hardware while waiting for Jamie to make up her mind. She didn't get it in the end, but got herself a Prada instead. tsk tsk. Then we met the girls (finally!) for lunch at Soup Spoon (again!) and caught up with our lives, especially Baorong who's rather stressed up over her upcoming exams but happily un-distracted (I hope) by the male species, and Betty who's back for a short while with Bernard but soon due for a mission trip in China till next year! Basically, Jamie and Betty will be gone for most of December and I will be gone mid January. Omg I just realised how little time I have left with them, yes especially Betty and Jamie and Jamie is like leaving tomorrow afternoon already. I really hope we'll still be in touch even though I'll be far away. That's what Facebook is for anyway. So we gossiped like what all girls do...I even tried matchmaking Baorong to some guys haha! We always seem to gossip about the same people after all these years. We talked from Soup Spoon to Starbucks (as usual) till Baorong had to leave for squash training. Jamie, Mich, Betty and I then did a little shopping at Topshop@ Raffles City before we met Tian at Suntec. At night, Tian and I met his family for his brother's 21st birthday dinner at Gunther's!

A very blur shot of my delicious rib eye with bone marrow. The bone marrow was interesting. A little unglam to suck it out in a French restaurant but I did haha. We went home very full and happy! Yet another fulfilling day!

I don't know what the flash did to Nicky's big black round eyes. I think she has the red eye problem like me, which many cameras' red-eye function fail to correct.
